oh my good grief guess what after I had uninstalled it I just reinstalled it and guess what its working like a charm. wonder what it was? anyway back to enjoy the game yay Dianne

dear people,i have a similar problem,with this game,taken also from GOG,when i want to launch this game,i get a error message,and nothing starts,can you please help me,its a shame from gog to sell games like this,what can i do now the error massage reads like this,"grim fandango.exe-entry point not found","the procedure entry point getlocaleinfoEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNELE32. DLL.",my system is win-xp,i thank in advance. samuel

samuel, it clearly states on GOG that the game does not work on XP - it states you need Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8. As Marian says, I'm sure they will give you a refund or a credit. This is a copy/paste from the GOG website. Works on: Windows (Vista, 7, 8), Mac OS X (10.9.0+) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, Mint 17)

I believe the links in the Windows 7 and Games and Windows 8 and games for Grim Fandango installers still work. These are the installers from Squirt the Cat and I used them to get Grim to run on XP, Windows 7 and even on Windows 8.
Once again, weeds are my life!
