Quote:
You're no stranger to paranormal visitors showing up at Midnight, but when a suspicious character drops a threat in your mailbox, you're drawn into the timeless struggle of good versus evil. The fictional characters of classical literature are coming to life, and not all of them are happy with the way their stories ended! Use books to travel through space and time, as you join Charles Dickens and Washington Irving on an exciting adventure through their most famous books. Can you unmask the villain in time, or will the world's most beloved classical literature be rewritten?

Check out our Blog Walkthrough.

I didn't like it Marian. I thought I would as I liked all the other Midnight Mysteries, but this one seems so off track. I'd like to hear what others thought of it. I hope I'm not misjudging it. I did buy it before I tried it. I'll try it again later with a more objective perspective.

Thank you for letting us know, Sharon. Some folks seemed to like this installment while others did not. I think it was a different developer than the one who did at least some of the previous Midnight Mysteries games. wave

Hi, Sharon!

I really enjoyed this one, but I know what you mean about misjudging a game. I played the demo of "Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Castle" CE and it just didn't grab me, so I passed. When the SE was released, I had a coupon that was about to expire so I picked it up. Much to my surprise, I loved it and was wishing I had bought the CE. Of course, there were also several occasions when I tried a game I hated a second time, and I still hated it lol !

The "Midnight Mysteries" bonus game is extremely short (it took me about 3/4 hour) so, if you have a coupon, I'd recommend giving it a second chance.

Thanks Marian, I guess we all have different preferences. I am really enjoying this game. I like the involvement in the HO's. I've also played games where there was good reviews and I didn't like them.

That's why it's always a good idea to try the demo (it's nice that we are able to do that). One man's meat is another man's poison, as the expression goes. smile
