I will contact somebody that played this game to verify something I found in a past post.

A gamer commented that there is no saved game feature.

You don't save your game. Nothing you do in the game triggers anything. You collect information and write down clues. All areas are available from the very beginning of the game. But you have to collect clues in order to figure out how to access the area that leads to the endgame.
