Big Fish had a malware attack on new accounts for a couple weeks in Dec-Jan. Most of you need not worry, it is only if you updated your credit card or created a new account. In case this criteria here applies to you:

Quote:
“Your information may have been affected if you entered new payment details on our websites (rather than using a previously saved profile) for purchases between December 24, 2014, and January 8, 2015,” reads the letter from Ian Hurlock-Jones, Big Fish chief technology officer.

You can read the full story Here.

Thanks, Ana. smile

I change all my passwords to "incorrect". So whenever I forget, it says, "your password is incorrect".

Hi Ana!

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't change my credit card info between those dates, so I should be okay. As a rule, I always check my credit card transactions online every few days, and I haven't noticed anything strange.

Thanks Ana. I am not a member but they still store the credit card which annoys me. I did take it out one day possibly around that time period and then had to enter it again when I placed an order. I'll have to check the last 2 or 3 order dates and keep a closer eye on my card.

I hope this doesn't have anything to do with the phony Amazon email I received today. (Amazon CC)

Argh. I place 2 orders within that time frame but can't remember when exactly I took the card number out and when I put it back in.

It is scary! However, the story I read said the stolen info was from any NEW orders using NEW input of credit card, etc., that occurred during the last week of December and first week of January of this year. I took thist to mean that OLD accounts were not believed to have been affected. Does anyone know if that is correct?

If you added a new card during that period, you "may" be affected. As I stated in the first post: "Most of you need not worry, it is only if you updated your credit card or created a new account"
