In a courtroom, a defendant was asked to stand in the dock. As soon as he took his position, he said directly to the judge, "I don't recognize this court!"

"And why is that?" asked the Judge.

The defendant replied, "Well, you seem to have redecorated since my last visit."

Hollywood Squares:

These great questions and answers are from the days when ' Hollywood Squares' game show responses were spontaneous, not scripted, as they are now. Peter Marshall was the host asking the questions, of course...

Q.. Paul, what is a good reason for pounding meat?

A. Paul Lynde: Loneliness!

(The audience laughed so long and so hard it took up almost 15 minutes of the show!)

Q. Do female frogs croak?

A. Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you be?

A. Charley Weaver: Three days of steady drinking should do it.

Q. True or False, a pea can last as long as 5,000 years.

A. George Gobel: Boy, it sure seems that way sometimes.

Q. You've been having trouble going to sleep. Are you probably a man or a woman?

A.. Don Knotts: That's what's been keeping me awake.

Q. According to Cosmopolitan, if you meet a stranger at a party and you think that he is attractive, is it okay to come out and ask him if he's married?

A.. Rose Marie: No wait until morning.

Q. Which of your five senses tends to diminish as you get older?

A. Charley Weaver: My sense of decency.

Q. In Hawaiian, does it take more than three words to say 'I Love You'?

A. Vincent Price: No, you can say it with a pineapple and a twenty.

Q. What are 'Do It,' 'I Can Help,' and 'I Can't Get Enough'?

A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.

Q. As you grow older, do you tend to gesture more or less with your hands while talking?

A. Rose Marie: You ask me one more growing old question Peter, and I'll give you a gesture you'll never forget.

Q. Paul, why do Hell's Angels wear leather?

A. Paul Lynde: Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

Q.. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get any during the first year?

A.. Charley Weaver: Of course not, I'm too busy growing strawberries.

Q. In bowling, what's a perfect score?

A. Rose Marie: Ralph, the pin boy.

Q. It is considered in bad taste to discuss two subjects at nudist camps.. One is politics, what is the other?

A. Paul Lynde: Tape measures.

Q. During a tornado, are you safer in the bedroom or in the closet?

A. Rose Marie: Unfortunately Peter, I'm always safe in the bedroom.

Q. Can boys join the Camp Fire Girls?

A.. Marty Allen: Only after lights out.

Q. When you pat a dog on its head he will wag his tail. What will a goose do?

A. Paul Lynde: Make him bark?

Q. If you were pregnant for two years, what would you give birth to?

A. Paul Lynde: Whatever it is, it would never be afraid of the dark.

Q. According to Ann Landers, is there anything wrong with getting into the habit of kissing a lot of people?

A. Charley Weaver: It got me out of the army.

Q. It is the most abused and neglected part of your body, what is it?

A. Paul Lynde: Mine may be abused, but it certainly isn't neglected.

Q. Back in the old days, when Great Grandpa put horseradish on his head, what was he trying to do?

A. George Gobel: Get it in his mouth.

Q. Who stays pregnant for a longer period of time, your wife or your elephant?

A. Paul Lynde: Who told you about my elephant?

Q. When a couple have a baby, who is responsible for its sex?

A.. Charley Weaver: I'll lend him the car, the rest is up to him.

Q. Jackie Gleason recently revealed that he firmly believes in them and has actually seen them on at least two occasions. What are they?

A. Charley Weaver: His feet.

Q.. According to Ann Landers, what are two things you should never do in bed?

A. Paul Lynde: Point and laugh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A husband and wife are shopping in their local Safeway store. The husband picks up a box of beer and puts it in their cart.
'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.
'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans,' he replies.
'Put them back, we can't afford them!' demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.
A few aisles further along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the cart.
What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband.
'It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: 'So does a crate of beer, and it's half the price.'
He didn't have time to duck.
Still grey, still rainy, still cold. Started a fire in the den as I am tired of freezing toes.
Good morning GB'ers.
Snowing this morning. So what else is new? Weather forecast really sucks. Supposed to have a concert on Sunday. Maybe, maybe not. I am so ready for warmer weather and so are the dogs. Poor Cory has a hard time getting around on ice.
Supposed to go to the attorney this afternoon but may cancel it, depending on the road conditions. I'm badly in need of a haircut but hoping for clearer weather. Beginning to look like a sheep dog. lol
L4L, I am almost finished with Terry Brooks the second book, The Measure Of The Magic. First book, Bearers of the Black Staff. Good writer. What are you reading?
Stopped snowing, no more and we will go.
Take care and have a good day.
Bets
Exhaustion. Watched Survivor and Amazing Race and feel like I ran a million miles.
Bought some really neat 'yard lights'. Wally Mart had Westinghouse big ones (I need a lot of light to line my driveway for all of us going in and out for 200 feet of narrow drive. Replacing some old ones and found some that go on at dusk (solar) at 2.5 lumens and then have a 'sensor' which kicks them up to 100 lumens when motion is detected. Wow. Will save the battery recharge longer and still light the way. Love the 'power up' feature so far. Hope the sensors don't fail.
WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.
Afternoon Boomers wave
Wet rainy day here 50% blah!
sure glad to out of that hospital and back home again ~
that was a very scary time! I started getting short of breath next thing I knew I could hardly breath, I left here in an Aid car with sirens & lights going~ that ambulance ride was awful! seemed like it took hours
they put this huge mask on my head it forces you to breath in & out~ Air never tasted so sweet in my life~
had to stay in the hospital for 3 days~ I guess my Heart & Kidneys & lungs got overflowed with water and I couldn't breath~ Kidneys were the cause of it~never want to go through that again never!! so I will start Dialysis as soon as my fistula is ready~fun!
then when I'm in the hospital the second morning my mom got really sick and had to go to the ER, when it rains it pours here! lol
Were both home & doing fine now~ Thank you so much for all your Prayers Boomer buddies~ hearts ~ Karen
Great to hear from you Karen -now start feeling better!!!! Who took care of your pets -bet they were happy to see you.
Went walking again this AM and it was great. We walked the north east side with all those tall trees and low low scrub and kits loved it. ButterCup's tail was all puffyfluffy as she ran around and round. Cmndr Buttons, the bengal, marked everything -he never ran out of it. Interesting, his behavour shows he's closer to the wild than regular cats. ShemerBaby stayed closer to me and pointed the way to go next. Moira is old now and she waited on the back porch for us. She's content with that. The henbit is blooming in all this cold, brave. When we left it was 42 and when home it was 44. All that oxygen was invigorating as kits were bouncing all over the house and I did the housework/straightening up/what was that you called it, L4L?/hahahahahahahahah in no time. And here I am.
Happy thursday all
Bets, what a coincidence. I'm on the 3rd book of the original Sword of Shannara trilogy. Taking a break at the 3rd book to read a Cotton Malone thriller from the library. I'm working my way through Shannara with breaks to read library books from my hold list as they become available.
Ana, Birmingham had 9 inches of snow...broke the record by quite a bit. We are just a bit too warm for snow, thank goodness. Hope you are having a good day.
Sorta, glad you found better lights.
Joe, hope it comes soon.
Doc, so sorry you had to go through that. Glad you are home. How is mom?
Yankee, you've had a good day.
