frown Just heard this on the news. He was always my favorite on Star Trek. R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy.

You were very lucky to have met him, Winfrey. I saw him in person doing his Vincent Van Gogh play in around 1979 or so in Scottsdale, AZ. I will miss him very much.

I'm a Spock fan but I also enjoyed him as the Great Paris in Mission: Impossible and the murderous surgeon in Columbo. Never met him in person. According to a book I read on MI he took the role of the Great Paris because he had heard how good a show MI was to work on, but that was when Mission: Impossible, Star Trek and Mannix were still owned by DesiLu Studios. By the time Star Trek was canceled Lucy had sold her studio to Paramount and they were not the great place to work DesiLu was. If it weren't for Paramount, Martin Landau wouldn't have quit MI to leave the opening for Leonard Nimoy. Interesting piece of trivia Martain Landau had actually turned down the role of Spock.

How very sad frown

I have seen him play many roles besides Spock but his Spock was definitely "special".

Very sad news. He loved playing the part of Spock according to an interview with him. He will be missed but he will live on in Star Trek!
