One of the two coworkers who put me on to Grimm also got me started on Fringe. I watched the first season and then decided to give Warehouse 13 a try, but after 3 good episodes, they ruined it by introducing Claudia. One thing no TV series ever needs is an annoying obnoxious young person. So Warehouse 13 is now off my list of shows to watch.

Fringe influenced by many sources, seems like every science fiction cliche will make an appearance.
The first season finale introduces Lenard Nimoy as Dr. Bell.

The best character is Walter, who gives new meaning to the term "mad scientist". Rather than being power mad, he's just crazy, having spent 17 years in a mental institution. Though I suspect he's not quite as absent minded as he pretends to be. Its fun to watch him discover some of the things he's missed, cell phones, heated car seats (I still don't have one of those). I like that he likes vinyl records. If you play a vinyl record or cassette tape, then play a CD or MP3 you can hear how much is lost converting analog to digital.

Hi Guybrush. I bought the whole series of Fringe and have watched it from beginning to end. It has become my favorite series. I recommend it to all if you love science fiction shows. I wish it had not ended.

Just do it.

I never watched Fringe. Will have to check it out when next we are in need of something to binge watch.

I just finished Fringe. The ending was wrong.

Sending the boy to the time at which the Observers begin in order to keep them from existing should have reset the entire time line not just kept them from invading. Because if they didn't exist to send scientists to observe the past then the alternate universe Walter would not have been distracted by September, so he would have cured his Peter and Walter from the main universe would not have taken alternate universe Peter to his own universe. Therefore Peter and Olivia would never have met to have Henrietta. Rather than not being killed in 21 years, she should not exist at all. Or it should have been Lee and Olivia who had the daughter.

In this case they ignored their own premise so they could have a happy ending, instead of the logical ending.

I watched Fringe when it was first on and saw it all the way thru. Got a bit of a kick out of the main characters playing two different people to match the two time zones. Toward the end it got too confusing for me. It was a good series. Wish they had done something different with it.

Never saw Warehouse 13, tho I agree with you, Guybrush. Guess the producers felt the program needed some spice and decided to add a character they figure the audience will love to hate. Always ruins an otherwise good show.

Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Once they got into alternate universes and times I was sure it would end with Walter resetting time to save everybody at the expense of losing Peter. They way it did end just didn't make sense. Four the first four seasons everything bad could be traced back to what Walter did in the past, he was the catylist. They seemed to have forgotten that in season 5. Suddenly everything bad was the fault of some unidentified person from the future.
