OK, it's time for confessions. What's the best 'gotcha' that anyone did to you on April Fool's Day and you fell for?

Mine was many years ago when I drove into my favorite gas station to fill up. Back then, they filled your tank for you. I was sitting happily when the gas guy came over and tapped on my window. He kept saying, 'come, look, something wrong, hurry, come look!" I thought something awful was wrong with my car. So I got out of my comfy car only to find him laughing hysterically and saying 'April Fool' while all the other workers were doubled over laughing at me. Ho ho, so funny...not. But I eventually found it amusing. Best get ever.

What's YOUR best 'jokes on me' April Fool's gotcha moment?

I'm not a big fan of April Fool mischief. But the closest I can come is at a company I worked at many years ago, for a birthday joke, some people got together to fill the office of the birthday 'boy' who was at a milestone birthday with balloons, then shut his office door. Seeing his door closed was not the norm becs most offices were open first thing in the morning. Plus, 'footsteps' were taped to the floor from the elevator to his office. It was relatively harmless and he took it in relatively good humor except making those responsible remove the balloons so he could get some work done.

As for myself, if I fell victim to one's joke, I must have blocked it frm memory

I think best one in recent memory...oh my but there have been so many...was when someone took a picture of my computer desktop and then used that picture to make me think it was my desktop. So, after I don't know how many minutes of trying this and that and the other I finally gave up and called Tech Support. He heard my story, didn't hesitate a second and told me to hit ALT+TAB, which immediately took me out of the fake 'simulated desktop' to my actual desktop...oh that was a good one. Fool me once...

I think by the time the tech arrived I would have already hit the computer with a big hammer. I have no tolerance for things that don't work correctly.

One I remember was one of the high tech companies in Silicon Valley took the owner's car.... I think it was a Porsche and they put it in his office. They had to open up an outside wall to do so!!
