Another trawl through puzzles from recent UK papers to stimulate idle brain cells:

* 1. Excited to get in live coverage after a dip (8) - bathrobe

* 2. French art links two fish - a point used in the main (7-5) - Marline-spike

* 3. Left enthralled by lookalike monarch for brief moment (9) - twinkling

* 4. Leaves chaps in revolt (7) - spinach

* 5. Compose neat prose in synthetic language (9) - esperanto

6. Austen's work is subject of study taken in by male and female novelist (9,4) - first letters M P - Mansfield Park

* 7. Reprimands French perhaps helping in a big way (6-8) - tongue-lashings

* 8.Whipped chocolate drunk all day long (6,3,5) - around the clock

* 9. Inauspicious occasion when one has a terrible shock (3,4,3) - bad hair day

* 10. Eating place row - better not to take sides (7) - dinette

Reshuffled first and last letters KM

Have fun! catrub easter headscratch

(slight correction made at 2)

By way of hints, UW had two words of 9 correct and the remaining first letters are BMMT (not necessarily in that order).

7. Reprimands French perhaps helping in a big way (6-8) - first letters T - L

Both correct. smile

I rather liked French art = es.

Denis, tongue = language, hence French perhaps, and lashings = big helping (e.g. of food).
