I think the musical stones puzzle may be random. The solution I got did not use the 5th stone. Skeeter, click each stone and watch to see which symbol lights up the red color. You should find that 4 of the stones light up 4 different symbols, with one of the 5 stones not lighting a symbol. You have to hit the stones in whatever order makes the first symbol light up, then the 2nd symbol, then the 3rd symbol, then the 4th.

Maxwell, let's keep trying to figure this out. Are you seeing the saved game I sent in your saved game folder for Echo?

Okay, did you already have a saved game number 9? If you did, did you remove it? Most games will not acknowledge two with the same numbers.

Oh no, you have no saved games at all? Are you going to start from scratch or would you like to install a saved game right after the deer puzzle? I assume that we can do that but I could be oh so wrong.

That was the case for me also--the 5th stone did not do anything--I could not 'hit' it, tho I could hit the others--hmmmmm..........Skeeter, did you get past this?

Hi Skeeter, I can only echo what L4L just said......you are way ahead of me in the game and I don't have any first hand knowledge of how it works.
If you back away, does the puzzle reset itself?

Skeeter,

First change all the colors to black by clicking on the inside of the squares. There's 2 squares that are empty of any lines.
Then click on the red dots to rotate the squares clockwise. Note the lines inside the squares, you might be missing the movement of the squares.

Mag,
I tried your directions and I get every square
except the square with his tail and the bottom square with his front hoofs between 7 & 8.
These squares are not highlighted in black
like the other ones. How do I get these squares
to highlight in black? Hope you understand what
I'm talking about. SKEETER!!!

Yes I clicked on all of the squares and changed
them to black. I clicked on the red dots as per
the walkthrough. Every square is highlighted
in black except the square with the tail and
the square with the front hoofs. The whole outline
is good, but those two squares and not highlighted. I went thru everything 5 or 6 times
and I come up with the same thing.

Before you do the puzzle - click the inside of ALL the squares to see if there's hidden pattern there and change all of the patterns to be black.
There will be 2 squares that is empty after all the others are black.
The hooves and the tail were blank before you started the puzzle - so click them to show.

Gerry,

Look around on the ground and as Skeeter said - pick up all items that can be picked up. Let there be light!

1. You go into the the cave with the brown square --go 2 clicks
2. Now you are in another big room. Pan Right and go in the cave with the Black square by the entrance. Go 2 clicks.
3. Another room. Pan Left--there will be a cave with just the Square outline--not colored in--go 1 click into there--then right click to bring up your inv.--select a torch-and then left click on the torch in the bottom left of your screen to light a new torch--now go 1 more click--
4. Another room. Pan Left and go through the cave entrance with the Brown square next to it. 2 clicks again.
5. These rooms are getting repititive laugh You need to go through the cave entrance with the Black square this time--I did this 2ce--once it was directly ahead and the other time I had to pan to the right just a bit to find it-2 clicks--
6. Here's another room. Go Straight to the cave entrance with the Brown square. 2 clicks
7. Guess what--yep, that's right--a room. Pan right just a bit and there is a cave entrance with the Black square--go 1 click and then you have to relight your torch-then 1 more click
8. Yep, you guessed it--another room---This time go Straight into the cave entrance with the Brown square--2 clicks
9. Almost there--and yet another room. woozy Pan Left and go into the cave with the Red square--click click--and you should be in a room with a totally different puzzle and on your way out--

Be careful that you are not picking a black thinking your are picking a brown and vice versa--

Hope that helps-- wave

Thanks so much l4l. For color-blind people, taking the "brown" entrance doesn't mean much. I knew how to solve the puzzle but just was unable to complete the execution of it withour your assistance.
