OK OK! I've been waiting for something exciting to happen but for now, it's just a smattering of activity over there and no big stuff.
Fat Gal (who has the biggest charges on her)hasn't been seen since the day we were out front with the neighbors and got the wagging finger. She does however, post about 15 'happy' posters on her Facebook page each day between 1 am and 5 am. They are all about 'knowing who your friends are', how 'the ones you thought you knew are the ones who backstab you'. You get the picture. Those are followed by comments by her family and friends about 'hanging in there', 'you can do it', 'this will pass', things will get better', etc. I'm sure she is going to trial and everyone knows she's in deep Bandini.
Now we have only one car sometimes backing in and I can't tell if someone gets in or out or just sits. Too dark to see. The 3 musketeers (2 on bike and the walker) are still milling around. Did I happen to mention the one I call the 'guard' has completely torn off the front porch steps? Yep. They were in terrible shape (old wooden ones about 6 feet across) and 2 of the steps broke early on. but they were there. Then a few days ago, the guard guy decided to try to pull the Cox Cable wire loose (cox guy ran it across and under a broken step). So he tugged and pulled and bingo, the entire step assembly (3 stairs) came apart from the foundation and now it sits to the side.
I'm half wondering if they were planning to use the wood for nightly fires to keep warm? All that wood (plywood and beams from the garage) that was piled in the yard, got moved the same day. The guy just chucked it ALL (I'm talking a pile 4 feet high by 10 feet long and 5 feet wide which came from the sheds they dismantled and sold and from inside the garage) into the 'patio' area near the garage. It's a cement floor, brick wall enclosure and now all that wood is haphazardly piled in there. Maybe they are planning a goodbye bonfire?
Each day, more and more 'stuff' is piled in the driveway. First it's just a pile of junky stuff, then it becomes a neatly stacked against the wall arrangement. Can't tell if it's good stuff or bad, but now big boxes are appearing and seem to be in a neat pile. They are probably STILL going through every inch of that property to be sure they get everything that they can sell to support their habits. Gah. I'm guessing they are tearing into every wall space looking for his 'treasure'. That place has to be a huge destroyed mess.
Then the pile disappears and you never see when or who. I think the do it after 1 am until 4 am since I am asleep then. I tried recording it, but again, the moon isn't cooperating and the place is totally dark.
OH and the car that they drove inside over a month ago and started the 'taking apart and putting together' routine on, is STILL there. They continue to fiddle with that. We are pretty sure they are packing drugs in it (or getting them out). A tow truck (the one that always stops by and tows their cars), was around last night. Sat in front for 15 minutes but just drove off. Might just have been a progress check.
Have NOT heard from Bad Gal since she called me after the second video and expressed her anger at being called 'a squatter too'. Ha. I was thrilled. I think she knew I lied to her about where the news guy got all those great pictures of the raid. Oh well. She, according to the ex who did call me a few days ago, is still with the boyfriend (who has a good job and is a nice guy). She is still (or maybe both of them) living in a motel near his work. She says it's because he is fixing the bathroom on the single wide trailer he owns. Something strange there since this 'fixing' has been going on for a few months. Doesn't take that long to fix something, especially on a mobile home. I think she just likes living in temporary digs. 50 bucks a night, all the amenities. Why leave? She's a wanderer anyway.
AND the ex says Bad Gal and boyfriend have a brand new Mercedes or BMW SUV. Yep. Must be doing well selling all the old man's stuff she stole. Can't figure her out. She's a sociopath for sure and has OCD worse than me. She is still wanting to get into the 'house' and 'finish' her cleaning of it. Huh? She never cleaned, she just 'cleaned him out'. Gads, to hear her tell it, she's doing a humanitarian work. We should give her a medal.
Still no court dates posted for any of the 6 who were arrested, but the police are still driving by daily (every shift) and slowly scanning the house and yard. My neighbor said he saw 2 police cars and a big pick up truck and loads of books all over the place with the police questioning the truck's driver. Can't do a darned thing to anyone with anything from the house because no one can PROVE the items belonged to the old guy. So stupid.
Someone still makes sure to check the mailbox every day. They still get mail there so maybe it's important stuff like summons to court? Probably more likely it's illegal credit cards.
Now we wait. It's been soooooo BORING!
