Quote:
Vienna (Austria)/San Francisco (United States), April 28th 2015:

Adventure fans, rejoice! The saviour has returned and blesses you with his latest masterstroke: Broken Age – the "Double Fine Adventure", the cornerstone of the Kickstarter boom has finally been completed. After a long wait, adventure legend Tim Schafer delivers the second act of his fascinating adventure.

The story of the two protagonists Shay and Vella is now heading towards its brilliant finale. What once started out as an auspicious campaign on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and then found a legendary $3,336,371 and 87,142 supporters, has finally come to an end. Following his ingenious escapades with Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango, the doyen of the point-and-click adventure now delivers his latest masterpiece!

Broken Age is available now. The complete adventure belongs in absolutely every adventure collection on earth (preferably as a boxed version, of course). With the first act of this magnificent tale having already garnered top ratings, with the likes of IGN and Destructoid awarding it a brilliant score of 9.5/10, the developers are now putting in place the grand finale with the final act.

Happy Gaming!

I'm playing this game, also. It's performing well on my PC. I purchased this game on your recommendation, Ana, and I'm loving it. Thanks
Sandy

Thanks, Ana. For some reason, I can't play it on my own computer. I'm getting a black screen whenever I start it, even though I've never had that problem before. duh Must have something to do with one of the updates not agreeing with my system. I've started playing a bit on Thorsgoat's computer, however, and it's really good so far. smile Looking forward to playing more of it.

I'm sad to say, I am very disappointed in Act 2. I was so excited to get it, since I loved the first one, but it tedious, illogical, persnickety controls and the story is a real letdown. I'm currently at the last puzzle for 3 days, and if I don't get it soon, I am just ditching it.

Sorry to hear that, Ana. frown Hope you're able to get past that one part at least. I haven't gotten very far into the second act, so I've had no problems with it so far. I'll see how I feel when I get farther into it. I'm also still working on Dead Synchronicity, so it will probably take a while. smile

I rarely criticize a game, but I really can't hide my disappointment on this one. It's like they just gave up.

me too, browneyedtiger. I usually love these 3rd person point and click games, but, I am not having the best time with it. the story just isn't grabbing me. I don't like these puzzles were it is a matter of a dialogue tree and I guess I just find the locations boring. It sure isn't a Book of Unwritten Tales or Broken Sword 5 IMO. I will try to finish it but I find myself pretty much relying on a youtube walkthrough to help figure it out. Maybe in replay I will find it more enjoyable - as I will try to replay it - sooner or later, but, I doubt it. I am quite disappointed. I have heard so many people love it and love the puzzles, so I was thinking it was just me.

Act 1 was entirely different from Act 2. I think most of the comments are from the first half. The second half is getting a beating from many. I started to look around after I found myself miserably plodding along just wishing it would end.
