Came across these in "work still in progress after an incredibly long time". Apologies if I've already posted them and forgotten to move them into "posted"

Solve the two clues and find a pair of words that have an affinity for one another. For example, (acorn) and (run) = nut and bolt. Beware, some of them rate fairly high on the Cue scale of evilness, and some have a Brit slant to them. grin

-1. (charge) and (out of touch)
-2. (avoid) and (English seaman)
-3. (support) and (out of the medals)
-4. (outwit) and (harass)
-5. (glitterati) and (excludes)
-6. (former governor) and (eyelet)
-7. (cut of meat) and (loose coins)
-8. (suit) and (rivers)
-9. (NATO male) and (NATO female) - think phonetically...
-10. (barbecue aid) and (East European)

To waste one second of one's life is a betrayal of one's self.
I wonder what's on television...?

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

We're even then since I don't get the NATO reference. lol

Imagine Fran Drescher saying him and her. Mrs. Cue and I have watched the entire run of The Nanny over the last month or so. I only watched a few episodes when it was originally on TV.

Aha - we don't get The Nanny over here (I think...)

I'm sure you've answered questions before on the NATO phonetic ...

Funny how the brain compartmentalizes. I am a ham radio operator and use those phonetics regularly but when I'm here and think phonetics, I am thinking of different things. smile

Yes, Cue! grin

Don't know what it's common name is in the States Bob, but over here we all know it as the NATO phonetic alphabet. I gather its proper name is the International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet, but no-one over here (except the hams I guess) would recognise that name lol
