I first played Myst in 1998 and it got me into adventure gaming. The second game I played was Riven, and between the two I read Rand Miller's book 'Myst - Atrus's Story', which explained the creation of both Myst and Riven, and gave a lot of back story, including some history of the D'Ni civilisation and Atrus's relationsship with his father, Ghen. I thought at the time that it would make an interesting film or TV series. Let's hope it lives up to expectations, if it happens.

A television premise sounds fun and interesting. Quite a while ago there was a great deal of buzz about a "Myst movie." Has that idea gone away?
