Stumbled on this game a couple of days ago, looks like fun. Can anyone recommend any other games of the same genre?

Thanks

P.S. Hi MaG,been along time.

Hi Gordon,

based on "1954 Alcatraz" I recommend you:

- A New Beginning
- Runaway: A Road Adventure
- Runaway: The Dream of The Turtle
- Runaway: A Twist of Fate

It is likely you may have played them already, but those four are the titles that came to my mind.

Timo

Thanks Timo,
I know about the "Runaway" games, but not "A New Beginning" I'll check it out. I was really hoping to find games of this genre that take place in the 1930's 40's and early 50's. I've tried to run "L.A. Noire" on Window's 8.5, but can't get it to go. Hopefully there is some sort of update.

Hi Gordon,

Windows 8.5? Not 8.1?

I played "L.A. Noire" on my Windows 8.1 last winter without any problems, except the graphics were a bit laggy at times. It was the Steam version I played.

Now that you mention it is the era that is important, I remember two more games, "Face Noir" and "Lost Horizon".

And as you are a fan of action adventures too, then there is always the "Mafia II".

Thanks Marian, that game looks good.

Timo, You are right, Windows 8.1. I'll check out your other suggestions. Thanks

Exactly what I would have recommended, Marian.
