Mome, there is a picture in this walkthrough that shows where to place the urn to catch the tears.

And I changed the title of your post--these BA games are very confusing, but this is just plain Beyond Atlantis, not BA2...

Help!!! I can't get the Abbot to talk to me about the markings on the wall & stone. I have put together the skull & have gone many times around to the side of the house & back to the standing stone & back to talk to the king head but Abbot still will not tell me what I need to know.

I guess I don;'t know where anything is!! Are you talking about where the paint brush touches the pages of the book in the chapel & he goes to see Dian or whoever the blue man is? Yes. Is that where the box on the floor is? In inventory I have LIam's key & I forget what else. I'll check the inventory again. I have 2 or 3 things. Senilty has set in!!

No, the small box is in the shed next to Liam, on the ground to the right. Use the key he gave you to open it, and remove the scroll, then Liam should talk about the wall markings and the trees, and IIRC, the white horse on the stone.

Mome,
I'm sorry to have confused you. There were things you should have known from the Book World (Tuatha) before moving forward in the game, but I was also thinking that you got the key from there, too. FGM has it right.

OK now I am really confused. Fairygodmother, are you talking about being at the very beginning of the game before going to Ireland?? I think I have been in Ireland so long I have forgotten who Liam is.

Mome, Liam is the monk sitting on the stool outside the chapel. Look to the right of him and down on the ground. There is a small box there. You have to open it and extract its contents. Then you can talk to Liam again.

OK I thought that was the Abbot & that I am supposed to ask him about the marking on the side of the chapel & the markings on the stone (horse, etc) then he talks to me about that & THEN he gives me a key to open the chest which has the knife & parchment in it (according to TallyHo's BG WT. ANYWAY, he just keeps saying he knows nothing about nothing & will not give me anything!!!
I just re-read a previous statement way above where I said I had Liam's key!!! Let me go back to the game & re-check inventory to see where I got that idea.

This is what Soren says:
Go to the grave entrance, then past it one click toward the beehives. Wait for the horse to appear from behind the hives and come up to you. When he stops, put him in your inventory.
Good luck! smile

Bert says:
Take 4 black balls out of the tray to the left and place them at the lowest row of holes.

Take 1 stick out of the tray to the right and place that across the 4 black balls. Then place the 4 balls into the row above the stick.

If you're asking how to take the balls from the tray - try clicking on the balls and see if you then can click them on the holes. think

I did that & got 3 balls but could not get the 4th ball to go into a hole. I got some balls into the bottom row - not 4, 3 & got the stick on top & then am trying to get 4 balls into the holes above the stick-can only get 3. You know h9ow I can make things complicated!!! Will go back, take stick off & try AGAIN!!!

Mome, are you looking at the pictures from Bert Jamin's walkthrough -- they show exactly where the black balls should go...

Mome,

The Jaguar's number is 9. A stick = 5 and a ball = 1. So 1 stick (5) plus 4 balls (4) = 9.

Try this:

First, remove any sticks and balls you've placed on the puzzle.

Don't place any balls in the bottom row. Take a stick from the right cup and place it across the bottom row. So all you have on the bottom row is a stick - no balls.

Then pick up 4 balls from the left cup and place them in the next row up - the one above the one with the stick.

This should solve the puzzle and the guard will let you pass.

Wouldn't that jar your mustard!

If you pick up one ball at a time and try to place it in the holes, you can only place 3 in that line.

You have to click on the ball pile four times to pick up four balls at one time!

it must be interesting how you know which numbers you have to put on the tableau. Or not? The bat had 3 dots on his wing. So the first number has to be 3x3=9. You put them already on their place. The second puzzle is 9x9=81.
Now you have to know that in the first tableau every ball is still 1 point and every stick is 5 points. Now things changes. In the second tableau every hole or bal is 20 points, so every stick is 5x20=100 points.Think it over and try to solve it for yourself. It gives you such a kick to solve the puzzle without just putting the balls where everybody tells you to do so.
If you need my help with the third puzzle, just ask me.

are you with the 2 spiders now? That's fun. Try to get them both on each side of the hole in the web and they can't follow you anymore. But then comes sweet Mamma.
Have a nice time.
