"I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Thomas A. Edison

*********************

Not too long ago, there was a woman who wanted to know how her husband would react if she left without telling him where she had gone. She decided to write him a letter saying she is tired of him and didn't want to live with him anymore. After writing the letter, she put it on the table in the bedroom and then climbed under the bed to hide until her husband got home. When he eventually came back home, he saw the letter on the table and read it. After a few moments of silence, he picked up the pen and added something to the letter. Then he started to get changed, whistling happy tunes and singing and dancing while he did so. He grabbed his phone and dialed a number. His wife listened from under the bed as he started chatting to someone. "Hey babe, I'm just changing clothes then will join you," he said. "As for the other fool, it finally dawned on her that I was fooling around on her and left. I was really wrong to have married her; I wish you and me had met earlier. See you soon, honey!" Then he hung up and walked out of the room. In tears and very upset, she climbed out from under the bed and stumbled over to read what her unfaithful husband had written on the end of her letter. Through teary eyes, she read: "I could see your feet you idiot, I am going out to buy bread."

********************

Four friends spend weeks planning the perfect desert camping and riding trip. Two days before the group is to leave Rob's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going. Rob's friends are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do. Two days later the three get to the camping site only to find Rob sitting there with a tent set up, firewood gathered, and supper cooking on the fire. "Dang man, how long you been here and how did you talk your wife into letting you go?" "Well, I've been here since yesterday. Yesterday evening I was sitting in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said 'guess who'?" I pulled her hands off and she was wearing a brand new see through nightie. She took my hand and took me to our bedroom. The room had two dozen candles and rose pedals all over. She had on the bed, handcuffs and ropes! She told me to tie and cuff her to the bed and I did. And then she said, "now, you can do what ever you want." So here I am.

******************

Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a fear of someone under my bed at night. So I went to a Psychiatrist and told him I’ve got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there’s somebody under it. I’m scared. I think I’m going crazy. "Just put yourself in my hands for one year," said the psychiatrist. "Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears." "How much do you charge?" "Eighty dollars per visit," replied the doctor. "I’ll sleep on it and if needed I will come back to you," I said. Six months later the Psychiatrist met me on the street. "Why didn’t you come to see me about those fears you were having?" he asked. "Well, Eighty bucks a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! A bartender cured me for $10. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new SUV." "Is that so!" With a bit of an attitude he said, "and how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?" "He told me to cut the legs off the bed – ain’t nobody under there now!"

*******************

Another day, another thread without Joe. I miss him, but he will hopefully be able to get on for Monday's Diner.

I hope you all enjoy your day! Feels like a late fall night here, so cold again! But the Hawks won! WooHoo!

Have a happy!

Good morning everybody. yay

I've been having serious withdrawals. Even though I know I can't get on line, I would turn my computer on and watch that little network symbol to see if it magically changed. smirk

The DISH tech was scheduled this morning between 8:00 and 12:00, and he just left. bravo

He informed me that the tech who installed my system didn't do such a great job.

Sadly I was not surprised to hear that, but all is good now. rolleyes

Ana.... hearts hearts Thank you as always for standing in for me in a pinch. With all you have to do, you
always come through in flying colors, for a friend in need. kissy

I have to work today 12:00 to 9:00, and then I'm offf Monday, and Tuesday. YEAH!!

I wish everyone a happy day. woot

joe

I'm homehomehomeyhomehomezuallaboobooboo. forgive meeeeeeee -we had a great time and baby daughter is a super grand hostess Ah!!! the food - the Dallas restaurants bon appitite. Cats fed and all happy to see me and how. They looked a bit worried when we rolled in -Buttercup is sticking close to me. We stopped in West Texas for kolaches -Oh Gosh those sausage and sauerkraut ones -sehr sehr gut essen. Well enough bragging actually we got home Friday PM and we had left for the big D Thursday AM but it was a whirlwind. And would have posted yesterday but I was thoroughly exhausted so I watched horror movies and played ken-ken all day -and petted cats. The graduation went well and grandson Bradley is the last one now -kinda sad but they do grow up.

Gotta do dishes soon. I've eaten out of a cat dish due to dishes languishing in the sink. The kits have more dished than I.

Beauty day -no rain. And we have electricity now

Wow Yankee! You sure had a busy week. What's 'ken-ken'?? As for the washing of kitty dishes, I switched to foam plates for the Outdoorsies. They last through several feedings and are cheap enough to just toss when food dries on them or they look 'unsanitary'. I probably throw out maybe 2 a week. Nightime interlopers (2 new ferals appearing) are LICKING the plates clean! And the huge possum is back nightly now PLUS the raccoon. Busy out there on my critter-cam.

I'm off to write the City Code Enforcement another 'report' on the Motorhome on the 'empty' house. They have hooked it up to electric and have a water hose attached (even though there is, or shouldn't be, any water). He will check it out. Yup.

Super Sunday ya'll puppy

Had a nice sleep in this morning, followed by a very hot walk. Did some kitchen stuff and then tummy decided life was not fun. Back to bed to recuperate, during which my sister called. Now back up. Going to hang with son and hubby. wave

Space, at least it is not like Texas. I heard on the news last night that in the last month, Texas has had enough rain to cover the entire state in 8" of rain.

i saw the terrible flooding on the news in Texas. Mother Nature can be scary. Hopefully they don't get any more rain for awhile.
