Can I send a track from a cd in a email? After ripping the cd and r-clicking on the track I want to send, there is no reference of any kind to attachments in the menu. The track is @7mb.Is there some kind of size limit in an email? Is it possible to do?

7MB may be too large for an email account, but you'll have to check the size limit on your particular account.

If you want to send a larger file than your email allows, get an account at some place like Dropbox. It's free for up to 2 GB worth of files. Upload your file to Dropbox, save the link for it, and send the link in your email instead of the file itself.

And make sure the CD is not DRM protected. If it is, the recipient will not be able to listen to it. If 7 MB is acceptable to your email account, just open an email and select the attachments menu, go find your track and attach it that way.

How do you check the size limit of an account? How would I know if it is drm protected?

You could use Drop Box that lets you send large files

Check with your ISP to see if they have limits. My ISP limits email attachments to 20 MB. I "think" you right click on the file and check in Properties to see if it's protected.

I use Microsoft's OneDrive a lot to share large files like videos and folders containing several photos.

There's no way of knowing that without knowing what your ISP is and, in some cases, what level account you have. Try Googling the name of your ISP along with
maximum size of email attachments.

For example...

gmail maximum size of email attachments
btinternet maximum size of email attachments
rogers maximum size of email attachments
earthlink maximum size of email attachments
cox maximum size of email attachments

If you ripped it off a CD, it probably is not "protected" (aka crippled).
But you can always try listening to the file on another computer if you think it's somehow locked itself to your particular computer CD drive.

Open your email, create a message, and add the file as an attachment.
