If you think something small can’t make a difference, try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room.

Good morning everyboomie. welcome

I start two vacation days today. yay

I just meant to request 1 day off, but because of the start and end date I put on the form, they thought I was requesting two days, so I'm off two days. cool Cool

Not very cool though. Today we got up to 98 degrees, and it gets plenty warm by 10:00am. shocked

Since I get winded going down an escalator, the heat just makes it worse. lol

I'm getting up very early, with the dog, and heading to the creek when it's cooler. happydance

There's that bug thing also. Can you say MO_SKI_TOE?

Go away bug, ya bother me.

Have a happy day everyone.

Happy Hump Day ya'll puppy

Hubby got me up early to walk the monkies...we are in that time of year when our overnight low is mid 70's sad Anyway, I did get us out and around. I can't say that it was our hardest workout ever. Feeling really tired today, like I'm getting sick so I was happy to just get out and back. Then I just had to go back to bed. I didn't put my CPAP back on so I kept waking myself up snoring lol

Anyway, on get-up #2. We are all fed. Rain incoming later. I need to clean today as daughter will be here later, but somehow think I'm going to bow to the tired and push it off a day.

Joe, truer words were never spoken than that quote. luck at the creek.

Haroula, have a wonderful day.

Gerry, thanks for the coffee. I feel like I need gallons today.

Connie, give Outlaw a hug for me. I hope the meds work quickly.

Ana, wave

Happy, Skooshing, Darlene

Back later wave

Oh Connie, poor Outlaw. Hope he gets better fast. I had a Siamese cat that always had skin infections. She actually pulled out ALL her fur and was bald for the longest time. She was miserable. Crusty ears, scratching all over and constant pulling of the fur to the point she would roll around on the floor trying to get at spots she couldn't reach and becoming 'incontinent' while doing so. Was fun trying to rum over an throw a towel on her to protect 'some' of the furniture. Ugh. Amazingly, since it wasn't fleas, the doc suggested it could be an invisible mite infection. He gave her some 'tranquilizer' spray (that helped) calmed her down (some sort of pheremone) but also suggested flea pills. In a month, she was better. She had fur again and no more scratching. Her twin sister, never showed any of the signs of anything, and they slept together. I'm thinking it was the 'calming spray' that helped. I'll never be sure, the doc never found the mites or anything crawly on her. I think she was just a nervous cat.

Off to feed a peacock.

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Hi there everyone.

Not having a good day with my hands. Pretty swollen. Need to finish wrapping wedding gifts, just ribbon left but I don't think I can handle that without help from Bill. Will see the dermatologist next Monday, then back to the rheumatologist on July 7.

Cory is gradually getting used to his cart. Had him outside this morning when a neighbor came by with her dog. Cory walked over to greet him. Otherwise it takes bribery of chicken for him to walk for me. Got to get some boots ordered for his back paws as he drags his right leg. Not good on toenails when walking on concrete.

It is hot here. Temp is 90.3 now.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Bets

Hello everybody. wave

It's 95 degrees here, and feels like 97. They say. I say it feels like hell. slapforehead

I was at the creek this morning by 7:30. Came back home at 12:30. shocked

I walked from one end of the creek to the other today, and then some. tired

'And then some' is where I finally found this one.

It's all I found today.

It was a miserable day. I told myself I was only going to cover the open areas that are easy to get to, and especially the sand bars that were still under water last Saturday. Those areas are no longer under water, and the have tons of rock and sand exposed now. I just didn't find anything so......

I headed back up the creek where I didn't want to go, because I'm bull headed, and didn't want to go home empty handed. shame

I went all the way up past the places where I found the other points, all the way to where I usually start back. I still had not found anything so I went on up the creek to where I had not been in a few years, and I found that one. yes

I'm just befuddled that I only found one point in the whole creek today. headscratch

I came home happy just the same. I'm just really tired now and need to join Baby in a nap. wink

OH YEAH! There were wild pigs out there today. They were on the far side of the creek, so I was able to keep Baby away from them. Thank goodness. I didn't take my gun today, and I was very afraid they would charge us out of the brush, or that Baby would take off after them. eek

Ok I'll be back. thumbsup

Sorry I'm so late checking in. It's been a very busy day for me. I had to work on my one day off again. One of the other care givers asked me if I'd work her shift and she'd work mine tomorrow night so I still get a day off. I said yes. I'm missing everyone here at game boomers. I'm not here nearly as much as I want to be. But I'll be here in the morning for breakfast for you know what.....yum. See you then. Hugs.

Midgie hearts

Just do it.
