Have you ever read Barbara Kingsolver?? Her first one is The Bean Tree.... I really like the way she tells a story.

I'd recommend Kingsolver as well. "The Poisonwood Bible is my favorite.

Thanks, Winfrey, Sparkle wave I have never read Kingsolver although I have heard of the "The Poisonwood Bible." Will check the library.

"The Testament" by John Grisham is in a similar vein as "The Poisonwood Bible".

I have just finished and much enjoyed the First fifteen lives of Harry August by Claire North, a different twist on time travel. smile

If you like that sort of thing I can also recommend The Time Traveller's Almanac: The Ultimate Treasury of Time Travel Fiction - Brought to You from the Future, a huge and wonderfully varied collection (available on Kindle).

Thanks, Lex. I love SF and Fantasy. This sounds like it would fit there so I will add her to the list. I have not heard of this one before. thanks
