Can someone tell me where to get the Dummy Book? I also can't get to the museum, as it's not on my map. This is to translate the glyphs on the back of the picture. I have the walkthrough, but the glyphs are not going into separate boxes.

Hi Marian, I already have printed the walkthrough . The part I am stuck at is after I have put the picture together and flipped it over to reveal some glyphs. the walkthru states---Translate according to chart ( from Dummy book or museum )--I have not got a Dummy nor can I access the museum on the map. Then it tells me to make copies of the journal, which I have, and the Dummy book at the office supply store.---Pay for all items . Open the Dummy book to get cheat sheet for translating Egyptian alphabet. I saw that Sanford and Captain D were also playing this and was hoping they could point me in the right direction.

I haven't reached that part in the game as yet. Been playing so many different games, slowly but surely. I'm really doing a juggling act here. LOL. Hope somebody else can help you. HAPPY GAMING!

I know this is not the place to post this, but I am at my wits' end. I have restarted this game twice, and still cannot find the Dummy book to translate the Egyptian letters on the back of the picture. If anyone knows where to find it, would you please tell me, so that I can go to Egypt and put me out of my misery!

I read the walkthrough posted by Marian.
It states:

Go into museum room and play music bells on first display. Also, get a cheat sheet for translating Egyptian alphabet. If have completed the pendant puzzle....look at close-up of map on wall to locate Temple of Anubis (can't really do anythinghere until later).

Hi MaG, the problem is, that I can't get to Egypt yet. When I click on the airport on the map, and click on Egypt, she says that she still has a few things to do before she can leave. For the life of me, I can't think what I have missed.

Please check:
Antique Shop
After getting downstairs, open up your laptop and you will see that you have a new e-mail...open your inbox to read...enter 43140 to get the safe combo. Go over to safe and enter the combo...get the brooch and gems.
Go over to the back part of the counter and try to open the left hand drawer...it's stuck.
Go to the front part of the counter and open the left drawer to get knife. Also, get magnifying lens from right drawer and
screwdriver from bottom, right shelves.
Go to back part of counter and use the knife to open stuck drawer. Get book...also, get glue from bottom, left shelves.

Tell me if it is at the antique shop.

MaG, as far as I can recall, the book I got from the drawer was the book on antique brooches. I have all the other stuff except for the Dummy book.

OMG I have just found the Dummy book! When I replayed the game and went to the office supply store, I just got money out of the ATM machine and then went to the park and did all the stuff there--found the journal etc. When I went back to the supply store, all I could get was a map of Egypt and copies of the journal--no Dummy book. I was so frustrated that I deleted the game and reinstalled it. This time, I went into the store first, before I got money, and Lo and Behold, there was the Dummy book on the shelf. Just a word of warning to others, the first time you go to the ATM go into the supply store and the book will be there. If you do all the other stuff first it won't. I don't know if this was some kind of glitch, as the game is supposed to be non - linear.

Elentgirl, I got the grapes first, so maybe you will have to replay. This game can be a tad picky at times.

LOL, I'm stuck again. I have done all the things at the temple. The w/t says to go back to the motel and Kyle's key card won't work on the door. My problem is, that it does work on the door. Any help would be appreciated.

That's an interesting problem. I took a look at the walkthrough, and can only think that maybe there is some step that was omitted beforehand. No idea where, though.

Me neither Marian, I even went back to an earlier save, and still no luck, I tried to register on the AGS forums, but you have to answer a bunch of questions, and if you get even 1 wrong it says ERROR, and you have to start again. I can look at the forum for this game, and no one seems to have come up against this. Too bad because I am close to the end of the game.
