Bioware has just announced the next Mass Effect game. It is going to be called Mass Effect: Andromeda and it will release holiday 2016.

You can view the announcement here - on the Bioware blog, link:
http://blog.bioware.com/2015/06/15/introducing-mass-effect-andromeda/

The announcement trailer with some delightfull country music can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG8V9dRqSsw

Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of Bioware, says this about the game:

Quote:
While we aren’t ready to go into too many details just yet, as you saw in the trailer and can tell by the name, this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy. You will play a human, male or female, though that’s actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later). You’ll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with.

And the forum for the game can be found here:

Thanks!

I was always a super fan of ME, but I hated the ending of ME 3. Still I will probably be the first to buy the new one.

Too long to wait though, same as with another very promising game from the Deus Ex series think.

I'd heard good things about these games over the years but never actually played any of them so yesterday I downloaded the demos of 2 and 3 and - oh no! - they are 3rd person only:-(

How anyone can control and shoot with a character in 3rd person is beyond me. The only time I go into 3rd person mode in other games is if I hit the wrong key by accident:-)
