Hello Folks,

The cupboard puzzle in the Captain's room on board ship will not respond to my inputs. I know the 4 numbers to enter --- (agrees with walkthrough) but, the triangles in the center will not recess after any correct number is entered. Consequently, the action that solving this puzzle incurs, does not happen. I have continued on with the game but eventually I have come to the point where I need for this cupboard puzzle to respond.

Any help here? Thanks --

Just to be sure: when you located all 4 numbers for the depths - did you click on all of them and get Nancy to acknowledge the numbers? The one that is usually missed is the one by the motorboat.

I did not click on the one by the motorboat --- I'll try it now and get back to you --- thanks --

First off -- thanks for the quick reply MaG.

OK -- I went to the piling by the motorboat --- when the cursor was placed over the number it never changed from the down arrow -- there was no acknowledgement from Nancy. I checked the number up on the crows nest again, and there was an acknowledgement from Nancy. Tried the cupboard puzzle again -- no good. It seem the acknowledgement from Nancy at the piling number is important, but --- it doesn't happen.

Anything else I should try?

Tried something else: Went back to the depth charts again, placed the locator in the correct location and got a response from Nancy, "Got it! These are the four numbers for that lock," Went back to the cupboard puzzle and everything worked! Great! (I had that locator in the correct position earlier which gave me the remaining two numbers, but apparently never got the response from Nancy ??)
