Hi guys. question..what does it mean when you have not a picture(or pictures) on a web page but in their place the area is white and has a pale blue ' i ' in the center of the white area. ? Thanks in advance.

Also have another question. is there anyway to keep those advertisments that have motion in them or are videos from playing automatically?

No pictures could mean broken links-some help here for you to try http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000813.htm
I use Adblock for pesky adverts, works really well. wave

I don't think I've ever seen a white box with a blue bar in the center - is it all images or just some? Normally you'd see a black box with a red X in the center.

If its all images, follow the link below -
Why can't I see the pictures on a website

There a many ways to block advertisements, one of the easiest is to install tracking protection. Follow the link at the bottom of the 1st page and install the "Easy List" at the top of the 2nd page. If it causes issues it can be disabled under Manage Add-ons.
Tracking Protection

Edit - I'm assuming you're using IE - If not, an ad-blocker generally does just as good a job.

To get an answer your first question, you will need to post a url for the site that gives the white background with the blue 'i'. You probably should also indicate your browser.

Robert-there have been several sites...it is not the whole page, just 1 area or maybe on another site 2 areas.

InlandAZ-- it is a whited area (like maybe where a video would play if I selected(but can't because of the white area)...and in the whited out area is a lower case letter 'i' .

Thanks for the ad blocking info!

Next time this happens I will write down the address and return!

Thanks so much.
