I received an email from Knut Muller announcing a 'special edition' of Rhem 4. He is looking for support on Steam Greenlight. It includes a new area and several new puzzles. Apparently, Knut is hoping that this will bring in some new income to support the completion of Rhem 5.

Rhem4 SE Steam Greenlight

Thanks for posting this SirDave wave

But The game doesn't seem to be listed as a Special Edition. The only reference is at the bottom of the Features list with this..."SE edition features several new puzzles". I don't see any mention of a new area or that "Knut is hoping that this will bring in some new income to support the completion of Rhem 5". You say "Apparently" he needs funds for Rhem 5, is this just your opinion or has he stated this? thumbsup

Direct quote from the email:
"The (Steam-)Rhem IV would include a new area and some new puzzles. But what's even more important, this would help to support the further work on Rhem 5."

I can't be sure that the official name will be Rhem 4 SE, but as you saw, the SE moniker was used in that link. Maybe it will be called a Director's Cut. smile Of course, it will have to be called something to distinguish itself from the original. Maybe Knut hasn't gotten that far yet.

It does occur to me that I don't think the Rhem games have ever been on Steam (I could be wrong) so maybe it will just be The Steam Rhem 4...

Many thanks SirDave

So this is dirctly from Knuts mouth or an Email from Steam? I only ask this because the steam listing states "Created by Runesoft" and not Knut. All curious to me that it wouldn't be more advertising on the listing of a new area but I will support this because of you. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you subscribed to his site? I thought I use to be but maybe I should double check.

The email was from Knut. I bought one of the first copies of Rhem1 years ago when he was sending them out directly in a simple folder & my email hasn't changed since then.

Just to repeat same info:

The (Steam-)Rhem IV would include a new area and some new puzzles.
But what's even more important, this would help to support the further work on Rhem 5.

Sir Dave,
I will repost this to make it official so we can extend more help for Knut.
I also will close this thread.
Thank you very much for the post.
