While i find the premise absolutely fascinating, availability through Steam is daunting and i find myself well and truly lost trying to negotiate the complexities, at least to me, through Steam! Does anybody else feel the same or am i just too old to enjoy PC adventure games or is it 'a breeze' to some? I need help just joining and buying ASA from Steam for the PC. Not unless if anybody knows another source i can 'gift' from. robert.

1. Fill this form out. Join Steam.
2. Copy the captcha correctly. If you can't understand the letters/numbers in the white bar - "refresh" to get another.
3. Then "agree" to the Subscriber Agreement by ticking the small white box.
4. Click on "create my account".
5. You will proceed from there to give your address, payment method, etc...

I am not sure when you need to download and install the Steam Manager. But you need it to download games after joining.

Then you can buy any game after you search for that game or if you have the steam address - just click on it.

Be sure that you have done the captcha correctly - step 2 on my other post. It will alert you if done correctly.

MaG, i managed to get into Steam but i find it hard to get around. can you help please? how do you find games such as ASA for instance? robert.

Open the Steam manager.
If you still are not logged in - log in.
You will see "store" at top left of the page. Open that page.
Enter ASA on the search bar at top right.
Get a selection. Click on ASA. Select by clicking on the lens.
Then click it on the list at page. Buy it if you want.

A warning on Steam, Gog, and other download sites; since I am often amazingly dumb about this stuff I fear others are too, so here goes. After you navigate Steam and download a game, you need to find the file in your computer and install the game like you would any game from a disk. I didn't know this and went nuts trying to make a game run. After a ten-year-old showed me how, I've been fine and have purchased and played several games with no problem.

Just to verify - did you download steam program already?
It should be the green bar at top right of the page here.
Once installed - it will ask if you want a shortcut.
Then click on that shortcut to open a new page (this is the steam manager) and an advertisement.

My memory fails me on remembering the "here" that you mentoned.
The default place to install the steam program is usually C-program files (86 in win7).

I have Steam installed - so I did not go through the process of installing it. So I don't know where "here" is.
Click on it and see what happens. You can uninstall it if you don't want it later.
