For some reason suddenly when I go to my homepage there is a black bar across the top of my screen. It blocking my icons such as hotmail, skype etc.
I have made no changes to my setting etc. and have tried to get rid of this bar but am having no luck. I have cleared my cache, history etc. but it
still comes back. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how to fix this and what caused this to happen. Thank you....

What are you using for your homepage? Is the black bar only present there and not other places you go - such as Gameboomers?

Hmmm... I went there and didn't see a black bar in my Firefox. You might check in your add-ons and extensions to see if there is something there that might be doing it. Just disable everything and see what happens.

Perhaps you need to update your Flash or Java. Firefox now tends to disable these if they are outdated or have security holes. You can also try starting Firefox in safe mode. If it displays OK then it is one of your plugins or extensions. Keep in mind that any flash or Java applets won't work in safe mode.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Or where ever you have it installed.
