Hi Marian A month ago I received a "no reply" Kickstarter message which said in effect "boxed versions are expected to be dispatched soon". But I've heard nothing since So I emailed the developers earlier today - asking for an update - and I'll let you know what results that brings [There might possibly have been announcements on Social Media sites but I don't use any of them.] Cheers. Oh, the digital version was available to me long ago but having pledged for the "boxed disk version" I decided to wait for that before playing It would be interesting to know if any person has yet received their boxed version ?? EDIT :Well my email to the developers (info@infamous-adventures.com) was just returned. It couldn't be delivered because "mailfolder is full" !! Does anyone please know of an alternative address I can use to make contact ??

I just found this message on their Kickstarter page, a message which was posted in June: Hey guys!
Just a quick update, as I've been getting a few messages about this, on the physical rewards.
We're a few weeks behind where I wanted to be - but the boxes are being printed right now, and should be sent to me any day now. We're still finishing up the DVD mastering for Quest for Infamy, and we hope to be wrapped with that within a week. The DVD pressing company is ready to press - we have all the other printed materials ready to go with them, and I'm excited about getting it all completed. Maybe when they reply, they will be able to give you an even better idea of when your boxed version will arrive.

Hi Marian. I won't get a reply because, as I said above, my email was returned as "undeliverable" due to their mailbox being full !! That's why I was asking if anyone knew of an alternative contact address .... I must say I find not being able to contact them rather disconcerting

Well, having now tried TWO contact addresses and both having been reported as not able to receive emails, I am rather disgruntled It seems a last Kickstarter update (of nearly six weeks ago) regarding the dispatch of pledged for boxed versions of this game is all there is !! But considering how long it is since the game was actually completed and available as a download .... I am very unimpressed

You can get additional info on the status of things by looking at this page, in particula the message posted on June 12th - unless you've already seen this message, of course. I don't think all hope is lost, but you need to be able to get a hold of a company representative.

Hi Marian Yes, I've looked at every update as it's been posted. And I don't doubt for a minute that I will eventually be sent the boxed game. But not allowing contact both ways whilst taking "forever" to get the game sent out is hardly good practice, in my opinion, and not conducive to attracting backers for a future project Cheers. Mad

Yes. I'm aware that it's available at Gog, thank you, Drmojo However, I paid a higher price when I pledged for a boxed version via Kickstarter so I fully intend to get a boxed version

" He says he's been getting messages from people inquiring about this - I just wish he had elaborated on how they had contacted him." Me too, Marian .... I certainly wasn't able to make contact via ANY address !! However, even though we do now have another progress report I'm not impressed as the update of June 12th told us disk production would start on June 19th !! It looks to me as though more bugs or whatever were discovered after that June update and resolving those is what has actually caused yet another delay. No. Not at all impressed

Well, finally, after making a "public comment" on the Kickstarter pages, I got a communication from Steven Blackthorne .... He directed me back to the "comment" pages to read his latest update (in response to my enquiry - and the enquiries of others) in which he says he expects to be able to start sending out the boxed games after he receives the game DVDs later this month. So not really anything actually new or definite. And I will just have to continue to live with the hope that maybe some time before Christmas I might have my game

No, oldbroad. It IS a "new" update. But gives no real "new" information. It still doesn't specify an actual date when deliveries will start

Or am I actually the only Gameboomer who pledged for one Possibly the only one who pledged enough for a boxed version. Though *** $35 for the DVD case version *** (or GBP equivalent) is a LOT less than most Kickstarters ask for for physical versions. If I'd realized that was all they were asking I'd have donated that amount myself. I wonder if they were overly optimistic about how much producing the DVD case versions would cost.

The saga continues and I still don't have my boxed game The latest is that on visiting the Kickstarter site for messages, I was informed I couldn't be emailed by Mr. Blackthorne because my email address was not useable. So would I please update it upon which I would be sent a test email. In response, I didn't "update" anything because there is nothing wrong with my email address. I just indicated that I would like to be sent a test email - which I received and to which I replied - all using my normal email address - which is the one they said wasn't useable !! I realise this might all be getting rather boring for Gameboomer members to read but I'm charting these ridiculous "goings on" publicly because they are disgraceful and should be made known

Marian, did you get your item? Yes, I did - I think the seller was quite embarrassed when he realized his mistake. I still don't know why he thought my postal address was invalid.

Finally, another update .... Here is what came ....
"A quick update from Steve - The rewards are all in, at my house - I had hired someone to help me assemble them for shipping and send them out - long story short, they basically went AWOL, and I've been swamped - not only working on the new game, but I'm expecting my first child in early December, so things have been crazy at my home. They're coming, but it's taking longer than I'd like - I really, really sincerely apologize - getting these things out is so important to me, and I'm spread so thin these days. I promise everyone will get their items, and I want to reassure people that it's happening. It's hard because it's just me, at the moment, who can work on packaging and posting them.
I'm very, very sorry - seriously, this is giving me an ulcer, because this part means a lot to me - the items look great, but they don't look good taking up space in my house! I want them in your hands - so, please, I ask just a little patience and I try to hustle up on this. Going to try and get some more help here in the next couple weeks, and we'll be sending out packages - I'll be taking photos and posting them so you can see them going out.
I really appreciate your support, and your continued patience and support. This project has been a labor of love for all of us, and I definitely have a great appreciation for the major operations that packaging and distributing companies are!"

I'm not sure whether that kind of info gets posted, Marian You could probably figure out an approximation. Google "quest for infamy" site:kickstarter.com Copy the result into archive.org and choose an old version of the webpage that lists Pledges and number of backers. You get something like ***this page***Add up the number of backers who pledged $35 or more, which is the minimum for the physical DVD version. 83+42+61+10+6+26+3+8+1+1+2+1+7+4+2+4+5+1+1+2+1=271 And then some packages are bigger and include physical stuff beyond the basic DVD, which makes things a bit more complicated.

Mad, I'm glad you heard something. That sort of experience is not unusual in my KS experience. Well it certainly shouldn't be, looney4labs, and I hope it never is again - for either of us !! Phew .... I'm glad you didn't ask me to dig around and sort out those figures, Jenny100. Kudos to you !!
