I am on Day 1 and visited Carl's WareHouse and found everything and examined the notes, Insurance Policy, etc. I went to Delores's house and talked to her. Traveled to Tex's office, but there wasn't a message on the Vidaphone! How can I get Day 1 to end and get the message from Sylvia?
Thanks,
Linda

Thanks, I forgot to get one thing at the warehouse- the circuit kit near the forklift at the warehouse! After going back and getting the kit and seeing Delores, I received the message on the videophone from Sylvia, after getting back to the office!
Thanks, Linda

Hi, I am stuck at Big Surf Lodge in the bathroom at Slade's house. I can't seem to get into the tub before he comes in and kills me. I searched his clothes and took the key, but I don't know how to duck into the tub and close the curtains in time!
Please help!
Thanks, Linda

Linda, I read a couple of walkthroughs that suggest that you open the shower curtain before you do anything else--not having to do that when you're ready to hide may be just the little bit of extra time you need...

Hi, The shower curtains were already opened, but I can't seem to get into the tub and close the curtains in time. With this gadget in the bottom of the screen, I try to get in the tub, but it seems that it is on the outside instead of inside the tub! Thus, I am not getting anywhere!
Thanks, Linda

Hi, Tried yesterday and Finally, I made it into the tub and closed the curtains in time! Yes, I was able to take Slade's brief case and get out before he noticed Tex!
Guess I was trying too hard and a break, was what I needed! This is a great game!
Thanks!

Am I too late to get into the discussion. I too am playing Tex O. and am stuck at the same spot at Big Surf Lodge. However, my WT tells me to head for the closet and get the doors closed. And so far have never made it. Have I goofed somehow, misread something? Was startled to see couple people mention heading for the tub and pulling a shower curtain.
Am confused if slade is taking a shower he would be coming from the bathroom so wondering how to by pass him to get to the tub?
Very confused here:(

Hi, I am at Robert Knott's cabin. He has been shot and I found all of the objects that I need to escape, except the rope. I tried looking in the right cabinet by the kitchen, couldn't see the rope, and under the sink, I did find the torch, log, doll and clothes & hat, no rope! Is it hidden? Please help-time running out!
Thanks, Linda

Thanks, I found the rope and other items, I picked up ahead of time, prior to Robert Knott coming in. The only thing I couldn't do ahead of time was to get the clothes from his bedroom closet. I am now at the Law & Order Office! This is a good game & exciting!
Linda
No,Desertlilac,
I tried the same thing, but when you get the Mickeys, the phone will ring. What I did was to get the chart from the living room, open the closet door before going into the kitchen, then get the bible from the drawer, and then the mickeys. Open all the doors before going into the kitchen. Then when the phone rings when you take the mickeys from the drawer, you can get out of the kitched and into the closet, close the doors when you leave! Then you are in the closet, you can check out the clothes and get the items you need and put the clothes back!
Hope this will help!

Help! I have lowered the chandeliers and made the long pole and am walking on the tops. I am to locate the security panel and open it and activate it! Where would I look and how would I activate it? I have been walking around the tops and not knowing what to look for!
Please inform me as to where to look and how to activate the security panel!
Thanks!

Linda, I think you need to go to the far right corner and look down to find the panel...

Thanks Linda - will follow your path in this room. This is an exciting and interesting and at times funny game. Love the actor playing TEX - some of his expressions he gets tickle me to death.

Did you close the back door which you came through? I kept getting killed because I forgot to close the back door once I was in the room so it didn't matter that I was in the closet Also open the closet door before you go into the kitchen and when the kitchen door closes turn around and open it. Saves time when you have to make a mad dash to the closet.

Would anyone playing this game be willing to send me a saved game past the point where you pick up the vial from kitchen and then try to make it into the closet? My cursor seems to stick at this point and I will never make it in time to get into the closet. Have done all the adjusting to my Win98 OS that I can think to do but to no avail re getting the cursor to work more smoothly. It has always been a problem for me in this game. But only now is a real problem when you have a timed situation to work through.

Hi, I made it through to the end and found the security panel and now I am in the cells. I do have a saved game Desertlilac, but it is after he is in the bathroom and took the keys out from Slade's robe. I could send it to you, but am not familiar as to how to go about sending it. If someone could explain the process to extract the saved game from the files and send it, I would be glad to do so. This is one of the best games so far! Love the Tex Murphy games!

Linda, just go to the folder that has your saves in it, and right-click on the one you want to send. This brings up a menu--move down to "send to" and then across to "mail recipient". Left-click on that and you will have an e-mail with the save as an attachment. Just plug in the receiver's name and Bob's your uncle...

Linda has kindly sent me saved games to get around my cursor sticking when I am trying to get into the closet. Thanks once more Linda and this is to let anyone else know that do not need saved games now since Linda obliged.

Help! I am in Cell Block C and trying to get the gas canister off the wall without being caught by the droid. What is the best way to get the gas canister without being caught all the time? Also, when I am in the Alcatraz Dungeon an have to make a time bomb, do I need the filter tool? I already used it up before when I saw the droid come out to clead the box.
Please give me some hints on this next to last part!
Thanks,
Linda

You need a screwdriver to get the gas canister. The screwdriver can be found in Alcatraz Dungeon below the cell block D. As far as being caught by the pesky droids, the WT says to be swift. Not exactly the kind of help you were looking for, eh? Well, it also says that if you hear them coming to duck into a cell & they wont notice you. The WT also says you'll need the dirty filter to make the time bomb. "Combine the gas canister, explosive, tape, and the filter"...makes no mention of the filter tool. Hope that unsticks you & good luck with those droids! Love, Jen

Thanks Jen, I finally made it and got the gas canister, made the gas filter bomb and got to play chess with Gideon! A great movie and game! It says that it was to be continued..Will there be a part 2? Did the two of them get killed at the end?
Looking for more Tex Murphy games! Do you know if there will be another one coming out soon?
Thanks for your help!
