If you use Firefox and and getting Flash error messages, Firefox is now blocking all versions of Flash until Adobe released an update to address two zero-day exploits. Firefox Blocking Flash

L4L, it's not whether you use Flash, but if you go to websites which use the Flash plug-in for things like videos. And, yes, Mad, other browsers are also vulnerable. From the article I linked to: Trend Micro, one of the firms that discovered one of the latest bugs, cautioned users to disable Flash until Adobe releases a patch. Trend Micro noted earlier this week that, unlike the first of the three Flash flaws from Hacking Team's files, the two most recent bugs have not been seen in active attacks and have not been integrated into exploit kits. However, that status changed after security researcher Kafeine discovered several exploits kits had bundled attacks for CVE-2015-5122 into their kits.

Thanks Draclvr for bringing this to our attention as this explains what I had been seeing today on FireFox. Some of the articles that I have read suggest that to be on the safe side to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player until Adobe creates the fixes. I have done this but should the Adobe Shockwave Player and the Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X also be uninstalled. Also, from what I gather from the articles is that the Adobe Flash Player has been full of security holes for hackers for a long time and until now I guess the issue hasn't been forced. Kudos to FireFox for blocking their software until they do something about it.

An update to Adobe Reader shouldn't have anything to do with the Flash player. Not sure why that worked unless they bundled the updates. I haven't had any offers to update either so far.

I don't know but it worked. I even tested it out by playing Mahjongg Dimensions (on zone msn) which uses Flash player.
I had not opened up Firefox before I did this Adobe update so maybe something else had happened that I hadn't seen that fixed it. I don't know.

I agree with Draclvr about the Reader update Not fixing the issue, you must have gotten the Flash update at the same time, Adobe released a new patch or fix about 12 Hours ago and I strongly suggest those who use Flash to go the Official Website to update your Flash, the New Version is 18.0.0.209, I did and now FF has removed the Ban. Here is the Adobe site for quick reference, and as Usual, make sure to REMOVE any checkmarks for additional software install: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I don't normally use Flash either, but I'm encountering more and more websites that use it lately.
