Hey Curly...got my wires crossed on this puzzle with #18 and it ended up with a short circuit...which I thought I had fixed, but obviously didn't as I did something to negate my earlier change headscratch

#18's clue is Viking (fixed it again)

Anyway, long story short ... #18. "Viking" is NORSE (from clue word SNORE) which are of, relating to, or characteristic of ancient and medieval Scandinavia or its inhabitants the Vikings

#22. the clue "HECAN" is one of my "made up clue words" whose solution is "HANCE" where I got a bit too clever, apologize for that.
HANCE
v. t. 1. To raise; to elevate.
n. 1. (Arch.) See Hanse.
2. (Naut.) A sudden fall or break, as the fall of the fife rail down to the gangway. Also noted as curved contour on a ship; arc of minimum radius; haunch of an arch
