The Gahreesen Age --
Have powered up the Age and gone outside where the walkthru says I should jump to the black rock with another JOURNEY is passing by. I have been going to the third rock, the one with a JOURNEY on the front, next to the rotating arms. I press the JOURNEY SIGN. When I finally jump on the rotating arm and go into the building, it sends me back to where I came from, the same old rooms. Am I supposed to look there, or have I jumped on the wrong rock.

HELP, PLEASE.

Hello PJV, and welcome to GameBoomers!

If you are jumping to the rock with the journey on it, then you're in the right place. What is probably happening is that you are getting disoriented and jumping back to the same place that you started from.

The place where you want to jump from the journey rock has six long walkways sticking out--I think I jumped from the top of the rock, but don't take that as gospel...

Thanks a million Jenny-- you were right I neglected to walk around and find the other walkways.

Would have thanked you sooner, but was afraid to stop after I entered the maze. Who is the genius who thought up a game with no save games.

I know what you mean about the saves--several times I went off and just left the game running when I had to do something. At least that way I didn't have to redo stuff, because it always seemed to happen at the worst possible times.

Having said that, I'll have to admit that I finally reached the point where I get a bit of a rush from the jumps. But those fireflies drove me nuts--just wait until you start trying to keep them hanging around... eek

I have a question about the floor puzzle in Kadish Tolesa Age. I have Burt Jamin's walkthru but can't seem to get it to work. Do you have to reset the puzzle every time you don't end up in the elevator?

Any good tips about getting this puzzle completed? Thanks

Do you mean the one where pushing the button makes the tree shapes appear on the floor? If you do, then I'd push it twice, once to make the shapes disappear, and a second time to bring them back again. I don't see how you could solve this one without the shapes being lit up.

And here is a clue to doing this puzzle if you want it: SPOILER

there are four different shaped trees that make the pattern--all four have three little branches going from the top of the tree down to the trunk. One is just the plain tree; another has two dots along side the trunk; a third has a horizontal line through the trunk; and the fourth has two lines stretching from the top to the ground, one on each side of the trunk...

Thanks so much for the help. I think this game is beyond me.

One more question-- I have raised the pillars and climbed to the top. I am assuming it requires a jump to get to the sixth Journey. This game has more jumping than Indiana Jones.

You might not have raised the first-closest tower high enough. You don't need to jump on this one, walking is fine. smile

Good news, PJV--as Marita says, no jumping involved. Is this the first time you've raised the pillars? If so, you want to do it this way to get to the journey cloth: SPOILER

Question--when you come down from the pillars after getting the 6th Journey (thanks to you), are the pillars supposed to be flat once more? I shut down right after I pulled the lever at the bottom of the stairs and went towards the pillar room. When I started up again, I could not get the pillars to rise up again so I could get the ladder. I tried everything.

Is there any way to start the Age over from the beginning?

I don't mean to take up so much of your time, but I was so near the end of this age. I don't know what happened, but hope I can get back on track.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

No problem, PJV--if people didn't ask questions I'd be out of a job, and then how would I eat! lol (Since you're a newbie, maybe I'd better explain that's a joke--all of the administrator and moderator positions are strictly volunteer.)

It doesn't matter if you lowered the pillars, because if you hadn't, you'd have to push that blue button to lower them right now. You have to raise them a second time to access the last area: SPOILER

I'm back! Have spent several days trying to get going i Eder Kemo & Eder Gira. Have mastered the first jump down after the first Journey Sign, but can't make the jump to the place behind it? I'm assuming that's where I go next. Any hints? I'm to the point of taking the game off, but I hate to quit so near to the end.

Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks

From the journey cloth that is on the ledge below the plant, you should jump to the geyser that is at flat top hill below at the center of the lava pool.

I did this finally by taking a step forward to get off the ledge and then use a forward arrow. I don't know if that would work for you.
There's another area that you can do a jump forward to that flat top hill. It is at the end of the sloping path at the other end of the canyon.

Bert recommends 'The best way to do this is to line up with that platform and stand with your back against the wall. Do one step forward and jump.'

I'm back!

Have spent several days trying to get going in the Eder Kemo Age. Finally mastered the first jump down to shut off the geyser. But for the life of me can't make the one behind. Is there any kind of hint for this? I have tried both places, the one after the first Journey and the one at the end of the long path. Any help, if there is any, would be appreciated.

I am having a senior moment here, PJV - have you closed the geyser at the flat top hill in the middle of the lava pool?

If not - here's another hint from the wt - In the long jump to the geyser in the middle of the canyon in the Eder Gira Age, back up as far as you can and then execute a standing jump; while in midair hit the down arrow key. When you land you will be on the edge and will immediately backup to the middle and have a safe landing.

Which one is the one behind?

If you have closed that geyser, then close all the geysers except for one - the geyser under the other journey cloth - up on the hillside. Use it then to help you jump up high enough to get to the journey cloth. smile

You use the geysers to get around this first area..and to get out of it. Don't worry about standing on them! (Not realizing I could stand right over the steam cost me a lot of time in this Age lol )

Also..you can get to the beginning of every Age simply by turning the page from the last journey cloth to the beginning panel (look for where the page is bent in the corner). Uru remembers everything you do, so this won't reset the Age but does give you more freedom of motion. I was very frustrated until somebody told me about that option.

Does anyone have a clue to the second jump at the beginning of Eder Kemo Age? Have mastered the first but simply cannot get to the area behind. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I still don't understand what you mean about the second jump behind.

If it is from the journey cloth to the geyser at center of the lava pool - I think my 2 hints-help on previous posts might not have helped.

If it is from the lava geyser to the other side - I just run - jump forward to the other side. Took 2 tries.

If so - let's wait some other gamers. smile

If you are in a desert area with geysers, you're in Eder Gira not Eder Kemo. You can't get into the back waterfall area of Eder Gira just by jumping. You have to close down all the geysers except the one right by the rocks that border the back waterfall area. Then stand right on the geyser and it will blow you up above and across the rocks.

Sorry about that-- I ment Eder Gira. I don't supposed there is some kind of hint for the second jump at the beginning. I can get to the first Journey and make the first jump, but no matter what I do I can't get to the area behind with the two geysers. I suppose it's just a matter of trying, but I'm to the point of taking the game off.

Anyway, thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the clarification as to where you are needing help. This confused me a bit.

As Becky stated: You need to close ALL the geysers excpet for ONE.

If all geysers are closed there will be too much pressure and they will all burst open and you have to close again the one by the lava pool. If there are more than one geyser open - then there is NOT enough pressure to do a correct jump.

Back to the 2 geysers to get over the rocks, be sure that the geyser by the rock wall is open. Then go around and check all others are closed.
Go back to the geyser by the wall, stand on the open geyser, face the crack on the rockwall and time your jump with the sound or the spouting of the geyser. It should get you over. I did this on the first try and I am one lousy jumper. laugh

Is there a hint or some kind of help regarding placing the bridge in the sequence where you light the generators? Or is this one of those just keep trying situations.
Thanks.

Pyl, are you trying to place the baskets so that you can walk over them into the cave? If so, I found the best way was to put the one closest to the cave parallel to the floor and the other one perpendicular to the first one. This is really a tricky part of the game--I had more trouble here than anywhere else!

If this isn't where you are, please give me a little more description of your location...

After using the linking book to Eder Gara--

Any hints as to getting the bridge in the right position in the sequence with the cave and lighting up the dark cave?

Thanks for your reply. I am talking about the first time you link to Eder Gara. You go in the cave, find the generators, light them; then you find the buoy and are supposed to place it so that you can return with the fireflies and get over the river with "dry feet."

Is this a better description?
Phyl

Ok, I was just a little ahead if you haven't placed the single basket yet--that one goes in the narrow part of the river, down near the end of the land that leads to the cave. I placed it with one end facing the cave and the other facing the opposite way. There are pictures of the placement of both sets of baskets in Bert Jamin's walkthrough (note: he does not place the first basket the same way I did--whatever works best for you is the way to do it.)

But you still need to go up into the upper part of the caves and get two more baskets. After you push the second generator light, turn to the right and pull the lever next to the door. Enter the next room, get into the water, walk to the left and enter the next cave behind the other waterfall. You'll find another two baskets which you should push into the water. Step into the water and push both baskets over the edge into the lake below. Now you can arrange the second set of bridges so you can get the fireflies safely over the water...

This is truly weird Phyl--your last post shows it was made seven minutes before mine, but I just got the notification and it just showed up on my forum!!! eek

Anyway, I'm glad you successfully got that one basket placed--now you just have to do the other two. Warning: I had a lot of trouble with the fireflies, and consequently had to do this part several times. I found a couple of times that walking across the single bridge moved it around so that when I came back to cross to the second one, I got my feet wet... mad

Can anyone give me a hint as to how to get the buoy in the right position to make a little bridge so the you can cross it and the fireflies won't get wet. I finally got it after several hours of futile attempts, then we had a power outage and somehow it was no longer where it was supposed to be. I sure would appreciate some help, if there is any.
Thanks.

Hi Jenny
Is there some special way of moving the little basket? I am having an awful time trying to get it in position. I don't understand Ben Jarmin's picture-- I am assuming it has to go from shore to shore?

If you have any thoughts on this, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I guess I'll keep trying. I am so frustrated.

Jenny is off for a while.

I also had problems here, took me several hours just to do this basket arrangement.

I pushed one basket to the edge on the bank on the right away from the cave as much as I could. Check that it is stable there.

Then I maneuver the other basket top-bottom (not sideways) up the bank of the cave as close to the other basket and let it flip to its side - so that the ends of the basket touch each other.
Then pushed it to make it stable.

Be sure to check the single basket at the other side - mine moved away while I was working on the other 2. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. It's the first basket I'm having trouble with. I just wondered if there was any kind of tip that would help me position it correctly. Have really tried and tried.

Thanks.

I just position the basket as evenly as I could to lodge between the 2 shores - the one with the tree on the left and the right shore where the linking book to the other Eder is.

Once it is even, I inched it to position by pushing at the center and adjusting it by pushing the side that is uneven. Then when it is lodged in. I test it by walking on it.
It does take time.
