Hi.

Because she knows I play games, a friend asked my opinion on this for a teenage gamer.
So not being techie-wise could I ask your opinion please ??
[I've just copied it as she sent it to me.]

Cheers.

Mad smile

What type of games would the person be playing?
For example, for Witcher 3, the GTX 750 doesn't meet "Recommended" requirements, though it meets Minimum.

I don't see anything for the power supply wattage. And also what Jenny said about that GTX 750.

Hi - And thank you both grin

I'm not exactly sure what games are to be played on the machine but I doubt they would include any quite as sophisticated as the current run of Shooters and RPGs.

However, I'll pass on your comments and I've no doubt they'll be helpful.

Thanks again.

Cheers.

I'm betting it's a 300 watt PSU, OEM's don't generally install anything more than is required, and 300 watts is the minimum PSU requirement for that card.

If it is a 300w psu you should see if you can upgrade and double it to a 600w psu. It is also hard to say if it is a good deal without knowing the price.

Yup, all of the above! Unfortunately if this is an OEM computer, they don't offer any options on power supplies.

I'm pretty sure this will be a custom build - as mine was - and not an "off the shelf" purchase yes

Anyway, I emailed the initial advice from Jenny100 and Draclvr earlier so if I am asked anything else I'll be back !!

Many thanks once again smile
