Thanks. I followed the directions and no skeleton appeared. I kept on going for a while and still no skeleton. I also tried a previous saved game where I actually found the skeleton, but I couldn't get the mask to attach to it. How many skeletons are in the maze? Will keep trying, though.

Are you at the correct distance when you click the mask on the skeleton?

Mag, I think you hit the nail on the head. I played this game many years ago and have been following this thread and trying my darnedest to remember what to do and I do remember that I had a hard time putting on the mask too... and for some reason I think I had to walk directly in front of him. there was a spacing/distance issue with it. I think she/he just needs to keep walking around that skeleton and trying to put the mask on. At least it is worth a try. I wish I could remember more about the game.

I wish I could remember - it's been far too long since I played the game. Time for a replay, maybe. smile

Yes, I've tried putting on the mask at the distance displayed in the picture I posted as well as the picture that Mag posted. I've tried coming from different directions, tried to put the mask on the skeleton, and that didn't work either. Also, when I used the F,L,R directions that Mag posted it didn't lead me to the skeleton, and sometimes it told me to go just the opposite, and I didn't see the walking skeleton at the beginning of the maze. I'm going to keep trying over the weekend, though, and see what happens. Thanks for everybody's help!

I just wanted to let you know that I finally got that stupid mask on the skeleton and finished the game! I saved my game so if I decide to play again, I can just load my saved game and go on. I tried to replay my saved game and see what I did to get the mask on, but I couldn't duplicate it a second time. It must have just been a freak thing or something. I'm not going to play Dust again, though, for a long while, and will go on to another game now. I don't know when I've ever had a game frustrate me and get stuck for such a long time as trying to put the mask on that skeleton! Anyway, thanks for everybody's help and advice. I knew my persistence would eventually pay off!

Thanks,
Call1e

I don't know why it was so difficult unless it's a really bad pixel hunt.
However, if you played on a widescreen monitor, it's possible the hotspot got displaced. I've had that happen in some DOS games.

Yes, I do have a widescreen monitor and am running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11. Thanks.
