I got this game to run (perfectly) on my new(old) computer with WIN95 and need help - I am up on the cliff outside that cave and Kahn has a gun on me, I zap him with handzapper but am not fast enough to pick up the gun before he reacts and shoots me - anyone got a saved game for this one?
Thanks (or can anyone else play past it for me with my last saved game if I send it to them?
Love, Betty Lou

I struggled with this one for ages.

You aren't supposed to pick up the gun.

You got a hint earlier..... when George looked over the cliff and he noted that the Jeep was directly below him but only an idiot would try to make that jump. evil

Hi Jim, and thanks, no wonder I keep getting shot, duh! Now I know I can just 'take the big leap', WOW, what a ride that must be....If not for you (and other GBers who help us all) I would be stuck up on that cliff FOREVER.....
Thanks to you again
Love, Betty Lou

Hi again, I am in Chapter 7 at the dig standing in front of the radiator and thermostat - I am supposed to turn the heat off but when I have right clicked several times to get correct responses stated, then try left or right clicking with those gear-wheels he won't turn it off.....what did I miss? I have already made the fake key and painted it to look old - need to get this heat off so I can fool the guard with the fake key.....HELP please
Love, Betty Lou

Been awhile, but try giving the keys back to the guard (with the fake key on it). I think this triggers what you want....

I totally understand those slight 'memory slips' as they happen to me often too.
According to the W/T I am NOT to give the keys back to the guard until I get the room so cold he puts on his gloves so that he cannot 'feel' the fake key when I hand them back.....unfortunately I cannot turn off the thermostat/heat so it gets cold in that room....just call me confused or muddled, can't figure it out without help from a Boomer who has played this one - just loving this game a lot

Have you already asked the guard about the thermostat? I don't think you can turn it down until the guard talks about it.

Hi Betty Lou...I have been looking for Broken Sword, but it sounds like it won't play on WinXP??? Anyone know if it will work with the compatability mode for Win 95? Thanks...Glynn

Glynn, check out Inferno's page--it sounds as though you are in luck... bravo

We played it on WinXP and it ran fine. Not a single glitch. You do need to run both the installer and the game itself in Compatibility mode, but if you know how to do that, you should have no problems.
