All of the MT games (6 so far) that I have played have been standouts, so it is good to hear a new one has been issued. That is one series that I buy even without playing the Trial Game.

I can always count on a good time with the "Mystery Trackers" series. I too bought this in the recent sale without playing the demo.

I played the demo and there's a definite sci-fi feel to it. I think it's interesting that in the last few weeks we have had two games that feel like science fiction: this game, as well as Beyond: Light Advent. It's refreshing to see some different settings.

played most of the demo...it just did not 'grab' me. maybe in the full length of the game it gets better but for now it is a pass for me.
The first game in this series was very, very, good. Enjoyed it so much but -for me-none of the others have been quite as good...ok,but not as good as the first.

For those of you who already bought the game check your Game Manager, I just received an Update to this game, a fairly huge one at 1MB.

I would say yes; there was apparently a glitch in the bonus game that affected some players, and I am assuming that this update fixes that (and maybe improves other things as well).

As Marian stated it is a Patch but I just came from the BF Forum and apparently there are a lot of people still having problems, as for me I do not know yet since I haven't started playing the game, still have some catching up to do before I get to this game

I know there were a lot of people complaining about lag between scenes, etc. I played the entire demo and had no trouble with lag whatsoever. I wonder if some of these people are playing this game on a laptop with integrated video, which could account for the slowness. And I have a mid-range video card at best, and the game ran very smoothly.

I am chapter/part 2 playing the multiple solves game. Usually love these; however, am at the part tracing the lines in the triangular puzzle. Hint and guide are no help. In order to progress, I would have to skip the entire puzzle, which I really dislike. Does anybody have a more detailed solution?

Thanks very much for any help.

I haven't played the game, Laurette, so I'm not sure what this triangular puzzle looks like. I've seen a few puzzles in these games where the object is to trace over all the lines without crossing over any other lines, but this puzzle probably isn't one of those. Maybe someone else will know.

It IS "one of those" (shudder). I almost got it, but...

Thanks.

You can do it - but it may take quite a few tries and a lot of patience (speaking from someone who knows). laugh

Hi Marian: Just wanted to let you know I finally got through it. One interesting thing to mention, is the 2 or 3 puzzles following that one were almost too easy!

Thanks for your input.

You're welcome, Laurette - I'm very glad you didn't have to skip the rest of the puzzle. smile

Laurette, you are a trooper! I hate to skip puzzles, too.

And isn't it odd how the consistency varies within the same game, with regard to puzzle difficulty? Most games aim at a certain level and sustain it. It makes them for enjoyable. I'm playing a Dark Dimensions game now, and some puzzles are so easy that it is disappointing, while others are almost beyond solving. I guess it is difficult for game designers to gauge the difficulty of their own puzzles.

I think that's a good observation, Reenie - I have played some games where the puzzles were all pretty easy except for one or two very difficult ones, which seemed out of proportion to the rest of the experience.

Playing the SE version and enjoying this very much. I don't normally like anything sci-fi or to do with technology but this is such a refreshing change from the norm. And of course being Mystery Trackers it is very well thought out and put together.
The puzzles are so different and quite challenging. I love the multi layered ones in particular.
