Here is a spoiler from the beginning of a walkthrough: You begin your quest standing in the desert. Turn around and walk towards the sign next to the closed fence. Walk around the sign and you'll see some kind of hand sign at the back. Touch the first hand sign and notice that a part of the sign will blink.
Turn around and walk towards the right side of the volcano. Notice that there's a trailer in the distance. Walk towards the trailer and speak with the man in front of the trailer. It turns out to be a guy called Jeff Zandi. Listen to what he has to tell you. If you want to hear his story again just speak to him. If you got stuck you can also ask him for vital clues.
Walk around the trailer and notice another hand sign. Touch the second hand sign and now two parts will blink. Turn around and notice a cleft nearby. Walk passed the cleft into the desert. You'll see something lying around in the distance. Walk to that part of the desert. The first item you'll see is a destroyed telescope you've seen earlier in good old Riven. You can't do anything with it. So walk further into the dessert. Nearby you'll find a skeleton of one of the sea creatures out of Riven. Walk into the head part of the skeleton. You'll discover another hand sign. Touch the third hand sign to activate it. Now walk back to the cleft. Notice the windmill standing near the cleft. Push the big lever and... nothing happens. Hmmm... could have imagined that! See if you can figure out what you might have missed.

My unsought and unimportant opinion is that URU (Well, the first part)may well be the greatest game ever made. Hang in there a while. It's worth it.

You could also look thru the video walkthrough's if you are stuck and the written one is not helping. video

I moved your post to your original Uru thread - make all your posts here and we can follow along with your progress. I'll see if I can find some help for you about this; otherwise, hopefully other players will be able to provide assistance. It looks like it's easy to get lost in this area - can you go back to the house and then try these instructions once you are outside the house? While inside the house, go down to the first floor and open the door by pressing the blue button. Go outside, fall to the gully and again cross to the other side as if going to Yeesha's. On the door you closed will be the sixth Journey Cloth, so touch it. Only one to go.
Fall down to the bottom of the gully, turn to the right and go to the tree. Turn to the right, climb up, climb the small stairs and cross the first bridge, being careful not to fall through the gap at the end. Once across, there is a bucket on a winch and a wooden pedal on the floor.

I think you're good to go; here's the info about the save system again: Unfortunately, there is no way for an user to save the game when he wants to. The game automatically saves any change you make to the Ages, and the Journey Cloths save your position within an Age, enabling you to return to it by linking from Relto. By default the game always loads to Relto Age I'm sure you will get used to the save system after a while.

Are you still in Teledahn? If so, here is the advice I could find: Down the stairs on the left is a bucket that you can jump into. Pull the lever and race round to the bucket, you have about 5 seconds to get on board. If you miss, then you need to pull the lever to stop the transport. Getting it to stop in the right place is a little tricky but pulling the lever just as two buckets pass each other is about right.

I don't know. Are you resetting the mechanism when you miss the bucket? If you miss the bucket, you will have to reset the mechanism. To do it, you will have to go to the lever and look at the moving buckets. When one of them going up crosses one of the ones coming down, operate the lever. With luck, this will make the bucket that is coming down stop in front of the dark area I referred before. Then you will have to operate the lever again, run to the bucket and climb aboard. If you are doing this, and the bucket is still going backwards, then I don't have an answer for you - hopefully another player will be able to help. All I can think of is that there might be another puzzle to solve before you can get into the bucket.

Wander around and find a new one somewhere after the bucket-trip. Otherwise you'll have to do the bucket routine again. (It's been a while, but I think there's one in that building somewhere.)

It sounds like you have to pan (turn around/rotate) while using the telescope in order to spot the ladder. While you are looking through the telescope, find a hanging ladder on the opposite rocks. Assuming this is where you are in the game, of course.

Yes it is, and the worst thing is the controls, some times U want to go forwards and U click and U go back Consider whether the controls are character-relative or camera-relative. In other words, assuming the game uses character-relative controls, if the character is facing to the right, his backwards would be to the left on your screen. If he is facing you, his forwards is your backwards. If the game used camera-relative controls, he could be facing any direction and using the U key would make him move toward the top of your screen. Of course if the camera is swinging around all the time, camera-relative controls are unreliable, while character-relative controls are not. If he's facing off a cliff, he'll remain facing off a cliff no matter where the camera gyrates to. You may want to switch to first person point-of-view for jumps. It can be easier to line them up.

Deleterman are you at the rotating walkway? If you are try this. Wait for the "lower walkway on the rock" to be almost in front of you and then do a running jump a few feet back from the edge. Jumpjust before it is in front of you. There is a slight delay so when you actually jump it should be right in front of you. Be sure you touch the journey cloth before you continue off the rock.
It is easier to make the jump in 3rd person with caps locked to run automatically. Be careful when you land that you don't go off the "rock edge". Good luck!

If you are in Kadish Tolesa and you pressed a blue button, a walkthrough states: If all three mechanisms are set correctly you will see a door open on the far wall. Go through the door and into the next room. Press the blue button and the door will close. On the back of the door is the third Journey Cloth.

deleterman, nothing is wrong. If you follow a WT, Kadish Tolesa is a nice place to explore and you should do good. The next age you will visit, Eder Kemo and Eder Gira, is a bit more adventurous. Just take your time when you get there. Good luck. Chief Marian, MaG
