Hi Everyone

I think I have started this game more times that I can count
The main trouble I have is navagating the steam Tunnels.
EveryTime I go in I get disorianted as to which way to go
This to me has to be the hardest part of the game and to make
Things worst you have to do tihs twice. The 2nd time to close
The right door,I have been following a wt but it doesn't help
Much.I think what I need is a way to describe each entrance so
I know I am headed in the right Direction,Can anyone help

Thank You

Bluto

I don't know how much help this might offer, but there is a video on YouTube here that shows the navigation of the steam tunnels. The part involving the steam tunnels starts at about 6 minutes into the video.

Its been a long time but if I remember correctly there was some kind of clue at every juction of tunnels. To see it you had to look up. I don't recall exactly what the clue was or how to use it but I remember it helped me out quite a lot. One of my all time favorite games. thumbsup

I have some saves for this area which I could zip and send to you (as email attachments).
I don't know if they will work with your version of the game but they might be worth a try ??

[Another Gameboomer was able to use them.]

And I also have a diagram of the path through the tunnels I could send you, if you would like to look at that.

Just let me know grin

I know this is an old game,Is there any way you can delete
older saves of this game,I unstalled the game twice reloaded
It bacx in thinking the saved games would also be deleted
Unfortunatly this was not the case,When I reloaded the game
Back in again, the older saves were still there.
has anyone who has played this old game, tell me how they managed to
Delete the old saves,I am playing on an older windows 98 system
I can't even find the game listed in the registry, evedently
The program doesn't put the game into the registry when it
Loads it into the system.

All help will be appreciated.

I merged your new Legacy of Time post with your original Legacy of Time game thread.

Let's wait and see if another player can give you some advice regarding deleting saved games/where the saved games are located.

If you're playing in Windows 98, look for the saves in the game's installation folder, or in a subfolder of the game's installation folder. You can just delete them manually.

The saves from my 1997 DVD version are in
C:\Program Files\Red Orb Entertainment\Journeyman Project 3 - Legacy of Time DVD\J3 Saved Games\
and they have the extension .J3S

Go to the opposite side of the greenhouse and climb the ladder to the platform.

You can take the knife and the steam tunnel map later atopposite side of the greenhouse when you climb the ladder to the platform.

Here's the augmented map of the tunnels made by Soren Anderson.

Hi Mad

I recieved your diagram through the tunnel, I under stand from YouTube that you
Have to go through the tunnel twice first to get to the skeleton,And after that
To close off both sections to melt the Buda.to you have both diagrams
It would be most helpfull.
Thank you

Bluto

Hi Bluto smile

The two diagrams I sent you are the only ones I have but I do have some saved games you could try - if you get desparate.

I made the saves when the game was installed to WinXP with the note ....
"Don’t use these saves until you have all the orbs from the other 5 shrines."

The saves are called :

“45 got the steam right”
“46 got all six orbs”
“47 out of tunnels with orbs”

Cheers.

Here's another written walkthrough that might help you get your bearings:

Quote:
STEAM TUNNELS. Go to the first intersection (tree symbol), continue to the two horns area and roll the stone to the left. Go to the three eyes area and roll the stone to the opposite side. Continue to the unicorn horn (hat) area, the east steam area, the shell area, the middle steam area, and to the two rings area. Roll the stone from right to left. Arthur should detect a definite change in temperature and say, ‘You did it, Gage!
The idea was to divert two steam areas to the skeleton mural. Return there and get the Black sphere from the melted Butter Buddha. Exit to the three eyes area and roll the stone to the east on the map. Go through the two horns area to the two diamonds. Pull the lever and go to the two rings area and throw that lever. Go through the Cross area to the west steam area.
Go slightly left and through the tunnel, pull the lever to the grating and exit towards the yaks.
GREEN BUDDHA. Put the Book of Knowledge in the slot at the statue’s base. Get the green sphere.

I've emailed you relevant extracts from the two walkthroughs I have, Bluto. And I think Marian's extract is also from one of them yes

Hi Mag

I finally reached the part where you have to turn the sphears to the correct pattern
At the center.I know there is a spicific order to turn the, spheres The walkthrough from
Sorenson shows the order but I do not understand his solution.
Can you better explain it.I will appreciate your help.

Thank You

Bluto
