Hi. Just wondering if anyone has pre-ordered the game on the Developers website. It is on sale for the next 5 days for $10.00. wave

I have not, but if somneone is interested, you can preorder here.

Just keep in mind it does not have an official release date yet and has been in the works for over 2 years. The estimated release is Spring 2016.

Ana. I'm getting the message that it might not be a good idea to preorder. Is this a reputable developer?

This is their first project and it was funded on Kickstarter with a promised delivery date of October 2013.

I am just stating facts, I would use your own judgement on whether or not you wish to purchase now.

They provide regular updates on progress with their game
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1781324918/xing-the-land-beyond/updates

There is a demo from July 2014 (announced ***here***) that you can download from Gamefront.

Be aware it is an alpha version.
However it gives an idea of what they're working on.

I'm sure they're doing their best to get the game ready, but don't hold your breath on the release date.
Like just about every other game, the original release date came and went.

I wasn't trying to imply they won't release it, but I hate to see someone do it and then be disappointed if they don't deliver on time.

Ok. Jenny, exactly what is an Alpha version? Is it complete?

No an alpha version is not complete at all.
It may contain bugs.
It may not play as smoothly as the final product.
But the demo would give you an idea what type of gameplay to expect.
