Deck13, the developers of the Ankh series and Jack Keane, is pleased to announce the fully localized English release (no patches needed) is September 17th. Check out the game here. Best played with the lights turned off and the volume turned up, Black Sails is a creepy and mysterious point-and-click adventure game.
A shipwreck. Having lost all hope, two survivors cling to wreckage, trying to survive a few more minutes in the raging sea. Until another ship appears. Hoping for rescue, they are calling out, but nobody answers. They manage to go on board. Will this be their rescue? Or their grave?
Inspired by a true story, the player experiences a journey into the darkest abyss of the human soul until he cannot tell between truth and fiction anymore.
Having been released in Germany a few years ago, gathering much acclaim for its focused story and strong plot, Black Sails is now available with full English localization for the first time ever. We hope you'll enjoy it.

That's the only link provided by Deck13 Jenny. Perhaps more will be added after release. There was a version you could download elsewhere previously that required an English patch but not sure if it's still available. Ana

Thanks for that info, BrownEyedTigre  I played the "previous version with patch" a good while ago and have kept it installed on my machine in case of a desire to re-play  I would definitely recommend the game. It's a very nice traditional Adventure

This will be a buy for me also. I have a few Steam games I have yet to play. Steam can be a little frustrating but I have finally learned how to obtain those annoying codes they throw at you.

Thanks from me, too, Jenny100 I've bought it !! I'm presuming this download from Fireflower will be fully patched  [I already have the boxed German version which, as well as the "translate to English" patch, also required a German "update" patch.]

How long a game takes to play can vary from person to person, but flotsam's GameBoomers review said this: It isn’t terribly long, but some of the puzzling did keep me scratching my head. I reckon I spent about 6 hours, which would have been longer without a peek or two at a walkthrough.
