Ok My HDMI port is at the top left hand side of the computer.. With what you posted is correct I am not hookup to the NVIDIA card.. I am now using the onboard graphics card (but) This is the only way I got windows 10 to work... Now my concern is hooking back down to the Silver posts at the bottom to get back my NVIDIA card.

If you are plugged into the HDMI port at the top of the computer (in the black area), then try plugging the cable into the HDMI port at the bottom (in the silver area).

You may want to turn the computer off before switching the cable.

I connected to the HDMI at the bottom where the NIVIDIA card is went to start the puter up got the black screen.. So I had to go back up to the other HDMI post..

Oh My word... I got my NVIDIA Card back plus I am on windows 10...

I had to update my NVidia drivers first before I switch the DVI to the graphic card...Then I had to tweet the display settings BC windows 10 was running in 2 windows...
So I had to go to the intel graphic card in order to get windows 10 to run then update drivers then switch to your video card...

I am so happy now

Glad to hear you got your card working.
It sounds like using a HDMI cable wasn't the complete solution, since the cable only worked when attached to the Intel.
Updating the Nvidia drivers for Windows 10 was what was really needed.

Yup - just like you said in an earlier post, Jenny. It was a driver issue with the Nvidia card.

But I had to update the drivers after windows 10 was installed. I tried doing that without windows 10 being installed it wouldn't update I guess BC it couldn't find the installation.

You would only get drivers for the older Windows version, which wouldn't help once Windows 10 was installed. Usually Windows includes some sort of generic low-resolution drivers that work with any card, but in this case they only worked for the Intel and not the Nvidia.

I wonder what people do when their X51 doesn't have the two HDMI connections and only has the connections in the silver area.

I was reading up on that Jenny plus on YouTube people are frustrated..Its a real problem not every computer has an HDMI hookup..Not every monitor has an HDMI hookup I had to add that option when I bought the monitor.
There are bugs in the windows 10 program that has to worked out from what I read.. Some people install and get no sound

Now on my husbands laptop windows 10 installed beautiful (Naturally) the laptop has an intel graphics card.

Oh ! By the way I love the Microsoft edge its loads in an blink of an eye very fast ! Internet Explorer is slow compared to the edge..
