I'm not familiar with that model.
I had to look the Digital Storm Bolt II up on Google.
It's last year's model (Digital Storm is up to the Bolt III)
but is still very competent for a "compact" case computer.

It is certainly better than the compact Alienware -- quieter and has a faster video card (the Nvidia GTX 980 is faster than the GTX 960 on the Alienware R3).

The Bolt II may be available for less money than it was originally, now that it's not the latest model.

If you want a compact case, this is a good choice.
If you don't need the compact case, you could probably find a less expensive computer with the same specs.

It's nice that the Bolt II apparently has a case that's custom made in the USA
(according to the ***YouTube review***).

I also had to look it up. As Jenny said, if the compact case is important to you, this choice runs circles around the Alienware X51 or R3. If the compact case isn't a "must have," you could get the same specs much cheaper. Putting the same components into the configurator at eCollegePC came up to $1788.

It seems that with the higher end components you've mentioned, this one also comes with a 500GB Samsumg Evo solid state drive, which is a very good one. You might check to see what the drive is on the one you're looking at.

It also has great connectivity and I like where the main ports are on the side of the front panel of the case. It even says it has a digital card reader which would be a real plus for me.

And if that case is made is the USA, that would be even more of a plus for me. You can get the same components cheaper, but if the small form factor case is important, then this is a good choice.

Once again, weeds are my life!

Thank you for your answers. I really need to do more shopping around.
