I think I may need a saved game to help me with this one. I'm in the kitchen of the restaurant. I've found the body in the potato sack and then the gas gets turned on. I know I'm suppose to break down the door to escape. But I can only hit it once before the gas kills me. I've tried several times with the same result. Can anyone help me?

Koshka, are you using the space bar to hit it...

Yes Jenny. I've used the space bar and the enter key. The same thing happens with both. I've tried tapping it repeatedly, holding it down, anything I can think of.

Sassafras, glad my suggestion helped.

Koshka, one walkthrough I found says it takes five or six tries at least to get the door open, so I wouldn't give up too quickly.

If nothing is working, then I would suggest that you check a couple of walkthroughs, just to be sure you haven't missed anything. Besides the one here at GameBoomers, there is one at GameSolves and a UHS Hint file .

As a last resort, try going back to your last save and playing forward again to this part, using a walkthrough. Sometimes that shakes something loose...

Guess I didn't try everything else after all. I tried the slow down program and it made things worse. For some reason, I decided to check my graphic acceleration. I had turned it off when another game wouldn't work. I turned it back on and VOILA! I got out of the kitchen on the first try.
