Quote:
Lost Horizon 2 is a graphical adventure and the next installment of our own Deep Silver brand Lost Horizon, developed by Animation Arts, the Secret Files team.

Lost Horizon 2 continues the story of the first part’s hero, Fenton Paddock, from the 1940s and 50s onwards.

How far would someone go to save their family?

In the shadow of the Cold War, Fenton Paddock is facing the hardest fight of his life. While the tensions between the superpowers threaten to tear the world apart, the British soldier has to save his family that has been caught by powerful enemies. His adventure leads Fenton far beyond the Iron Curtain and finally onwards to mysterious, uncharted territory. He has to finally face the dark powers of his past and learn what it means to take on responsibility.

Legendary and mystical - Our Hero Fenton Paddock joins a new thrilling adventure in the shadow of the Cold War of the 1940s and 50s. On an exciting journey across the continents Fenton encounters new allies and obscure dangers which hold their own secrets.

Colorful and hand-crafted - Thanks to the Unity 5.0 3D Engine the developers created a vigorous and rich 3D World with a love for detail which players can dive right into. At the same time all the zones keep their hand-crafted charm which fans of the genre love and enjoy so much.

Classical and cutting edge - Lost Horizon 2 for the first time does not only stay true to the characteristic control via Keyboard and Mouse, but also gives the players the possibility to switch on the fly while in game to “WASD” or Gamepad controls. This way, everybody has the option to play it “old-school” or just lean back and experience the whole game with Gamepad controls.

Intuitive and challenging - Open doors, pick locks, combine different components… the Game comes with a lot new haptic features which puts the Player right into the middle of what is happening around him and always calls the player to action. In Addition to this brand-new features, a variety of tricky and challenging new puzzles and puzzle types are waiting to be solved.

Happy Gaming!

Ana wave

Good timing. I recently finished replaying the original so the story would be fresh in my mind. So I'll be looking forward to continuing the saga.

Thanks Ana, + I will also hope and wait to see if GOG gets it, way too expensive right now considering the game is not even DRM free.

Oh and yes, I voted on GOG for this game, fingers crossed, or maybe even ShinyLoot can get this, most of their games are DRM free.

Thanks sureshot, InlandAZ, Starcom and everyone else who voted! Glad to see it's getting some votes, and maybe we'll see it at GOG at some point. I would gladly purchase it again there to have the DRM free version. thumbsup ShinyLoot would be good as well. smile

Just started playing Lost Horizon 2 today and found my graphic card is hardly adequate. It works just about when set to the lowest resolution on the game but I need an update to able to play comfortably. I have just reached an action part that’s really beyond my card to cope.
Be sure to check the game’s spects before you buy.

I agree with Cari.
Lost Horizon 2 has much higher requirements than the first Lost Horizon. Make sure your computer and video card are capable.

I watched part of an incomplete English YouTube playthrough.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYfqLrwbF70XaUW3KZP4am8Lt2hadFAMc

There was a timed sequence, but no action.

I don't know why the system requirements are so much higher.
The game doesn't look significantly better than the original.

It looks like this game uses Unity 5 as a game engine.
That may be why the system requirements are so much higher than for the first game.
http://www.dsogaming.com/news/lost-horiz...red-by-unity-5/

EDIT -- The high system requirements may be so you can get past the QTE's (Quick Time Events)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QTE

For example, the motorcycle chase.

But the bulk of the game may be playable on a computer with less than the listed requirements.
