kenaba,

I do not have the game but check the options in main menu.
See if there is adjustments for graphics, etc. Play with those and see if it helps with the cursor.

If still have problems - post at Glitches forum. luck

The game requirements listed at Steam are for a
DirectX® 9 compatible graphics card with at least 2 GB dedicated memory

If you are using a video card that doesn't meet the requirements, without enough dedicated video memory, getting a save from later in the game isn't going to help you.

Game-Debate is more specific about the video card
http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=23405&game=Lost%20Horizon%202

Minimum requirement is GeForce GT 730 or Radeon HD 7570 v2.
Recommended requirement is GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Radeon R7 260X

They don't list Intel graphics at all.

The video card requirements seem high for this sort of game -- a lot higher than the first Lost Horizon game.

If your video card is borderline, you'll probably have sluggish response throughout the game. Since you say you don't have sluggish mouse response outside of the game, I am assuming you aren't using a wireless mouse with low batteries.

--------------------------

There is a video review on YouTube that shows a configuration screen with graphics options that appears before the game actually starts. This might override the graphics options within the game, so it's worth checking.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7VqeuFML40&feature=youtu.be
It is a very poor review, made by someone who clearly does not understand or enjoy adventure games, but it does show the configuration controls around 2 minutes 15 seconds into the review.

Since this has turned into a technical discussion, I have moved kenaba's post, along with the replies, to Glitches. wave

No. At least not necessarily.
The first digit is the series of the card -- essentially the age of the card.
The second digit is the speed of the card relative to its series.

You have to look up online how a Geforce 650 TI compares to a Geforce GT 730.

Doing a Google search for
Geforce GTX 650 TI vs GT 730

finds this site
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-650-Ti-vs-GeForce-GT-730

which indicates the Geforce 650 TI is the superior card.

However there might be a problem if your card is a model with less than 2 GB of video memory. According to
http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=682&card2=
the Geforce GTX 650 TI can have either 1GB or 2GB memory.

If you have the 1GB version, you might want to try a demo.

EDIT -- The high system requirements may be so you can get past the QTE's (Quick Time Events)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QTE

For example, the motorcycle chase.

But the bulk of the game may be playable on a computer with less than the listed requirements.

Thanks Jenny100, how do I work out which version I have, I ran DxDiag and it didn't appear to tell me, the Approx. total memory assigned to the card is 3774 MB which makes me think I may have the 1 GB, I have about 200 GB left on the C drive. Forget all that I had kept the box and it says 2Gb memory - just shows how useful it is to be a hoarder!! dance

monbron,

Did you have any problems on the wall in the graphics? if not I think card is OK.I know the part you refer to, it requires practice to identify the hot spots and the time limit to do so decreases as you progress.Do these features increase the enjoyment of the game? I think the juries out.

I don't think monbron has the game yet.
Monbron didn't start the thread.
Kenaba did, and kenaba hasn't told us what video card their computer has.

Try asking for saves in Hints.
It looks like someone else has the same problem.
