A remake/"reimagining"
of the 1987 classic Shadowgate
for Apple, Mac, NES, Atari ST, Amiga,
and many other early platforms.

The evil, near-omnipotent warlock Talimar
has corrupted Shadowgate,
"the living castle"
and plans to
Take Over The World

Play as the young soldier
Jair Cathegar,
the "chosen one" of Lakmir,
and the only person
who can stop Talimar.

A unique game
with some unusual options
such as choosing between
the soundtrack of
the 1987 NES version
and an atmospheric modern soundtrack

I played some of the original and did find it difficult laugh

Very interesting review, oldmariner. I too am impressed that you made it through the entire game, as it sounds intimidating. scared wave

Thanks, Jenny. smile

Intimidating is a good descriptor. I had no idea what to expect going in and when you get zapped all you can do is go to the last save. The rule is save every time you pick up a new item or make it through a screen. When all is lost go find a video walk through sometimes it helps but not always.

Thanks for the nice comments and rest assured I'm not doing that game again.
