I'm rather embarrassed as usual but I don't understand the interface. I just started playing and
I keep getting crushed to death by a wagon. I'm told to crawl forward, so I hit the W key
again and again and the guy inches forward but not enough. Then a square with what looks like
a fancy letter Q appears. Of course, I tried using the Q key but nothing happens.
So I don't know what this means or what I'm supposed to be doing. Then the wagon crushes me and I die.
I can't find any game manual or anything that explains more than a few keyboard moves. Please
help.

Unfortunately, this is a Telltale game and the link to a manual doesn't apply here.
The link to the Utube videos is helpful. Turns out you have to pound on the Q key a million times quickly and even then it often does nothing. But I got past that first part. Still don't have any idea why there is no manual explaining the arrows and other commands. There is a "T" command button listed but I have not been able to see that doing anything at all. Otherwise, they just give the ASDW and Shift to run and a few others in the game menu under Controls.

Ming, glad you got past it. "T" brings up the Codex, though I don't know what that is.

I'm not very familiar with the Telltale games, but from what I can tell, in reviewing some of the comments on various forums, the game seems tailored for consoles. The button mashing you describe is very typical of console games using a controller. If a button appears on the screen that means you need to press it, if it brightens in color or pulsates that usually means you need to press the button as quickly as possible. In some cases these games will present combinations that will require you to press a single key repeatedly (like you described with the Q key) and then another key will appear at the moment it needs to be pressed. If you miss the chance, the sequence usually starts over again.

There are a couple of complete walkthroughs out there, but they are somewhat general (and overrun with advertising) in an attempt to accommodate both PC and console versions. IGN's version seems to be fairly popular:

IGN Wiki/Walkthough

They (Telltale Games) also have a community forum that allows you to post questions on the games:

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

I had a feeling the game was geared for consoles. This usually makes it harder to play on a PC.
I'm not used to having to mash buttons! Thanks for the links.
