I just loaded this game and because i have no booklet
that comes with it i am lost on some of the controls.
Can someone tell me what button does what.I can't pick anything up.......thank ron.etti

ron.etti: Here are the keyboard commands from the manual.

F1= Game Controls (Saving, Loading, Quitting, Text and Volume Control)

Tab OR I= Open/Close Inventory

C= Put Inventory Object Under the Cursor on the Cursor

T= Talk To, Taste, Eat

U= Use. Pick Up, Push, Pull, Open

E= Examine, Look At, Read

D= Check to see If playing, Regular or Mega-Monkey (note these are game levels mega being the more difficult level)

Esc= Skip A Cutscene

Shift+ W= View the End Credits

Tab=Fire Cannon During Ship Combat

Alt+X or Alt+Q= Quit

Left arrow= Port and Right arrow= Starboard
(That's turn shift left or right, for you landlubbers!)

if your cursor moves over something active, you will see a golden coin. The icons are as follows

Hand - pick up, push or use

Skull - examine

Talking parrott - talk to, eat, drink, taste, blow or bite

Whilst holding down the left mouse button, select the one you want by moving the cursor over it. Release mouse button to activate.

If you move your cursor to one side of the screen, a red arrow means you can go through to another location. Double click to go there fast!

To access your inventory, press the right mouse button. To pick up something from your inventory, use the hand icon. To combine items in your inventory, select one of them and pick it up, then position it over the item you want to combine it with. To actually use an item in gameplay, just move it over to the position you want to use it and left click to activate.

Sometimes when you are talking to someone there will be red up and down arrows next to teh text. Click on an arrow to see more speech choices.
