I came across a site called ******** that contains ald classic games one can download and play on modern computers w/o a problem with a fee of $5.95. They list Blade Runner, The Dame Was loaded as well as many we played on Windows 95. I need to know if anyone else has come across this site and if it is legal and safe. headscratch

If you want downloads of Blade Runner and Dame Was Loaded, vote for them at GOG
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/blade_runner
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_dame_was_loaded

There are currently no legitimate downloads of these games.

It's unfortunate that the site you mention is a "soundalike" almost-spelled-the-same site that hopes to be confused with a legitimate site.

I am glad that I checked here first.I have most of the older games mentioned at the site however getting them to run on Windows XP and 8.1 has proven to be a headache. I will try The Dame in DOS mode and see what happens.

Glad you deleted the site I submitted I would not want anyone else to get drawn in like I almost was.

Unless you have a vintage computer with Windows 98 or earlier, you will not get "The Dame" running in DOS mode.

On a modern computer it should be run inside DOSBox.
If you're not able to configure it, and you REALLY want to play it, there is the +1click guy at eBay (aka allvideo), who supplies original discs along with his custom installer.

Blade Runner is a Windows 95 game and won't run in DOSBox.
It may run inside Virtual PC or VMware Player.
