Connection chain - find a word that completes a two-word phrase, and also starts the next phrase. The chain does NOT wrap round from the end to the beginning. (It was too difficult  ) For example: acid - forest -> "rain" (acid rain, rain forest) -1. Black -2. Mark -3. Travel -4. Orange -5. Court -6. Sharp -7. User -8. Dog -9. Line -10. Bear -11. Centre -12. Off -13. Filter -14. Bar -15. Sheet -16. Horse (end) Hat

Somewhat tentatively, as I am not sure that I have correctly understood the puzzle...13 Filter Coffee 14 Bar.  I was wondering whether all three words should come from those listed, eg mark off/off centre, linking 2-12-11, but it would be pretty hard to link them all!

Rubbish instructions, Lex - that's the problem! How about "For each clue, find a word that will suffix this clue and prefix the next clue"? You've got it - "coffee" is the answer to #13, and no, the word can come from anywhere
